Whoopi Goldberg left her audience members and viewers in fits of laughter during her programme The View on Wednesday afternoon after she refused to partake in their conspiracies surrounding where Princess Kate had been.
On Monday evening, a video of Kate Middleton and the Prince of Wales emerged where the pair were seen at the Windsor Farm shop together, leaving those across the globe to go into a frenzy and theorise as to where she had been.
Internet sleuths were so invested in Kate’s whereabouts that some even began to claim that it wasn’t actually her in the video.
The discussion made it onto The View with Goldberg and her panel Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Joy Behar.
“I needed to see something more,” Haines admitted before Hostin probed: “Is it Kate?”
Having had enough of her co-star, Haines exclaimed: “If I spend one more hour with you I am going to be so far down into the Earth's crust that I won’t come back but overall I felt good because I needed a video.”

Griffin jumped in on the debate and noted: “It’s a grainy video, it is like a big foot sighting! From the outset, this had been a PR disaster.
“But we had some British friends in the audience the other day who were stunned by how worked up Americans were about this. So I sort of wonder if the Palace doesn’t realise how the other side of the pond has seen this.”
Goldberg put her thoughts to rest and revealed: “I did try and explain to you that this is not something they are worried about over in London, they’re not worried about it!
“We’re the only ones that do this! They know where she is!” leaving Behar to add: “Do they? Why don’t they tell us.”

Exhausted with their ongoing questions, Goldberg erupted: “They did! They did tell you, they told you where she was,” before Hostin theorised: “She has a body double! The royals have body doubles.
“Ok the royals have body doubles, I have read it. Various places and the royals have body doubles as security… it is a security issue,” but by this point, Goldberg had had enough and rested her feet on the table.
Hostin continued: “It’s definitely a security issue so every royal has a body double and if you really close in on that video, which I have done personally, I have done some internet sleuthing myself.
“It is very clear that the profile is not Kate and if she really did have that abdominal surgery why is she carrying the big heavy bag. Case closed.”

Haines interjected: “Someone else pointed out that her walk looked funny and then they corrected themselves and said that she usually isn’t walking with bags when we see her so maybe that is her bag carry walk?”
Allowing her panel to continue their theories, Goldberg laid her head back in the chair which left Griffin to add: “When have we ever seen the princess carry any bags?
“And I love that they are saying she is going to re-emerge on Easter like the second coming of Jesus, the second coming of Kate Middleton. I just don’t know why they can’t put out something more clear to show where she has been.”
As the discussion drew to a close, the panel unanimously turned to Goldberg and told her to “wake up” as the conversation had finally come to an end.
