Jonnie Irwin's widow has opened up about her three young sons' reactions to their father's death earlier this year and revealed the heartbreaking question one of her children asked.
Irwin died in February at the age of 50 after being diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2020, with the A Place in the Sun and Escape to the Country star survived by sons Rex, five, and twins Rafa and Cormac, three.
Iwrin's wife Jess, 40, has recently reflected on her life since losing the presenter and how her children have navigated the grief.
In a candid interview, she shared a particularly "heartbreaking" question Cormac asked her.
Speaking to Hello!, she recalled the toddler asking: "Can the spaceman not find him?" as he talked about his dad and looked up to the skies.
"That broke my heart," she explained before adding: "Rex had these wrap-around sunglasses on when we went away recently and he pointed to the screws and said, 'Mummy, look – if you press this button, you can see up in the sky. And if you press this button, you can speak to Daddy.'"

Talking about other questions her children have asked, she also revealed: "Rex will say, 'Would Daddy like to watch this?' or, 'Was this Daddy's favourite chocolate?'
"He wants to include him, whereas with the twins, it's more, 'I want Daddy to come back,' and I say, 'Yes, I do, too.'"
She also admitted she gets "really sad" thinking about the final moments of Irwin's life, wondering whether or not he was aware his life was coming to an end.
"That's what makes me really, really, really sad, when I think what must have been going through his mind," she confessed.

Speaking to GB News recently, Irwin's A Place in the Sun co-star Laura Hamilton reflected on her "closeness" with her late colleague.
The 42-year-old divulged: “We are a family at A Place in the Sun, both for everyone in front and behind the camera.
“And lots of us have worked together for years. So although we might not see each other all the time, we regularly do chat and we do message each other.
“We do keep up to date. I mean I'm flying out to Spain next week - I'm actually filming for the next couple of weeks - and I'm going to meet with Jasmine [Harman].
