The Sexbomb hit-maker has left fans concerned he is 'over-doing it'

Sir Tom Jones has issued an update on his next tour, but while many of his fans are excited, others have been left "worried" by the announcement.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, 84-year-old Jones shared an image of some tour dates for April and May of this year, with the Welsh icon expressing his "excitement".

He penned on his social media page: "Thrilled to announce my band and I will be touring the States and Canada this Spring! I’m very much looking forward to be performing again for you all, see you along the road soon!

"Tickets go on sale from Friday 31st 12pm (ET) - TomJones.com."

Despite Jones' continuing career after several decades in the industry, some explained they felt it was time for him to step away from the grueling concerts and touring.

"It's such a worry that you’re over doing it, it must be so tiring doing those gigs….and you have to save some energy for touring here in the UK," one person wrote in the comments.

A second echoed: "I'm so happy for you because that is what you want. On the other hand I am worried for you because you’re not the youngest anymore. But I wish you and your team a great time in America and Canada."

A third shared: "You are fantastic sir Tom. Take it easy, I will pray for you . And have a great time."

Others pleaded with the She's a Lady singer to take some of his tours to Europe, with another adding: "Hopefully you'll have European dates too Tom".

"And when do you come to Europe/Germany?" someone else asked, with one more adding: "When you coming to the UK Tom?"

Despite the concerns, Jones doesn't seem keen to slow down anytime soon, continuing to perform around the world and still featuring on ITV's The Voice.

In October, the singer assured fans he wouldn't be hanging up his microphone just yet with a strong message.

Concluding his 2024 tour, he shared a social media post reading: "What a year it’s been!"

The statement continued: "Just wanted to express my gratitude to you all who came to see the show this year. We understand what it takes to venture out to see a concert these days, and I want you to know how much your time and effort is appreciated.

"From the stage, it has been absolutely wonderful for me, the band and crew to visit your neighbourhood and play for you each night.

Turning his attention to the future, The Voice coach continued: "We close this chapter after performing 74 shows in 24 countries this year! (Not bad for a pensioner)."

Ending the post, he defiantly summarised his future plans by adding: "We’ll see you again"

The singer continued: "So until the next time, keep healthy and happy, and keep the joy of music in your life!"
