Snoop Dogg joined the American singing competition for his first season this year

Tom Jones has shared his support and backing for The Voice US judge Snoop Dogg’s contestant Jeremy Beloate as he takes to the stage to sing one of Jones’ iconic songs.

Beloate turned all four judges - Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé, and Reba McEntire – heads when he auditions and sang a rendition of Giveon's Heartbreak Anniversary.

As the judges fought over him and he hopped between Bublé and Dogg’s team, he ultimately decided to join the Drop It Like It’s Hot rapper's team.

He's now entering the Top 8 live shows with an all-star support system, and a newfound confidence – and has already impressed the Sexbomb singer.

As Beloate prepares to sing a rendition of I Who Have Nothing, Jones took to his Instagram to share his support for the singer and legendary rapper.

Sitting in front of the camera, Jones expressed: “Hi Snoop and Jeremy, this is Tom Jones. You know I have been doing The Voice UK for 14 years now and I love it.

“I love working with singers, I love finding new talent, it is a wonderful thing. Oh, and Jeremy I have been checking you out and I think you have a wonderful voice, inside a song you express yourself really well.

“If you had been on The Voice UK I would have turned for you myself. Now, I have heard you are going to do a song called I Who Have Noting, I recorded this song in 1970 when I was 30 years old.

“I think it is a great song for you, I think you are going to do a great job with it, you are going to get inside it. You know what to do with the song, great choice.

“And I think one of the best things about this whole thing is that you are with Snoop Dogg! You need a sincere coach to tell you what they feel and I feel Snoop is the man for that.

“What a combination, you and Snoop Dogg. So, for me, I wish you all the best, do what you can with this song. I know you are going to do great so to the both of you, good luck and God bless.

The rapper was quick to reply to the message of support and penned: “Thank U 4 tha love @realsirtomjones need 2 C them votes tonite!! @nbcthevoice @jeremybeloate.” (sic)

Ahead of his performance, Beloate sat down with Out Magazine to discuss his partnership with Dogg and praised all the work he had done for him.

Discussing the process after his initial audition, Beloate said: “So it was him and Simone Biles. I walked in and I was like Snoop Dogg and Simone Biles. All right, here we go.

“It's eight in the morning. I started out being very emotional then he was like, ‘When you honour someone. You want to think about the beautiful moments that you shared.

“You know, it can't all be this. People don't relate to this.’ He really helped me find the versatility and the dynamics within the song and the storytelling.

“It brought out a lot of beautiful memories that I forgot that I had with my family. He kind of flipped the script for me. It doesn't have to be like this sad thing, also shows the beautiful moments.

“I want to see you smiling too. He helped me discover a really beautiful, well-rounded presentation of it.

“He is everything. I mean, how can you not love him? He's just everything.”
