The Masked Singer’s Cricket has left ITV viewers convinced as to who could be under the mask, but it seems some theories may be wrong.
The disguised singing contest saw many of its viewers claim that Cricket was If There’s Any Justice singer Lemar within the first couple of clues.
Throughout the last couple of weeks of the competition, clues have included Cricket being a “top cricketer”, becoming “a rather big hitter” and having “a bit of a reputation”.
They also explained they went from playing the “village green to playing arenas and winning awards” with the most recent clue including a cricket ball smashing the screen, a microphone, and a note that read: “To Cricket Love from MB xx.”
But after the new clues, data – and more fan theories – it seems everyone could be proved wrong with another member of the Fame Academy cast from the early Noughties making their way up in bookmakers’ rankings.
Reggie Yates has become a popular choice among viewers of the show and seems to have emerged as close competitor to frontrunner Lemar.

According to Gambling.com, Reggie Yates has a 6/1 chance of being unmasked as Cricket, with the betting company giving a 14.3 per cent probability.
Lemar still sits at the top of the odds with 1/3, with Blue singer Simon Webbe being hot on his tail with odds of 3/1.
Bookmakers aren’t alone with their reasons behind Yates being under the cover as many fans of the show also managed to find the missing link to him.
One eagle-eyed viewer noted: “I noticed something last week but wasn’t sure. But now I am adamant that Cricket is Reggie Yates!”

“Reggie was also in Fame Academy… like Lemar… so we could have all been bamboozled!” another commented before a third theorised: “Hear me out – Reggie Yates. He hasn’t been around for years which could throw everyone off… but he was also in Fame Academy.” (sic)
However, most viewers remain convinced that it is Lemar’s voice coming from the Cricket costume.
This isn’t the first time that viewers have used their sleuthing skills to work out who they think is behind the mask, after they are convinced, Eiffel Tower was Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham.
The landmark costume gave clues such as her appearances in Monty Python and Spamalot, as well as her height, fluency in French and the most obvious point – her singing voice.

Air Fryer may have also already been “rumbled” by fans who claimed it was Hollywood star Rebel Wilson after seeing “AUD” on the costume and linked it to her role in Pitch Perfect.
The unknown star also referenced a bumblebee clue which some connected to her role alongside Hailee Steinfeld who was the lead role in Bumblebee.
However, despite the number of theories swirling around the character, many are still adamant that it is Hollywood and theatre star Keala Settle under the mask.
