The US band paused the show to tune into the match for the winning moment

England's semi-final win at the Euros has left the country elated, and even The Killers fans were treated to a screening of the historic moment during a concert at the O2.

The band surprised fans by pausing their gig to play the end of the match, which saw late substitute Ollie Watkins scoring the winning goal in injury time, defeating the Netherlands and landing England a place in the Euros final.

The American rockers were in the capital as part of their 20th anniversary tour, but it's clear they were aware of the importance of the match.

Videos circulating online show red and white confetti filling the arena following Watkins' 90th minute goal.

The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers then went on to sing fan favouorite Mr Brightside as the crowd celebrated.

Concert-goers deemed the atmosphere "electric" as they shared clips and snaps with the "spine tingling" moment flooding social media.

"This looks utterly spine tingling. How fabulous and clever. Was a risk, or did they wait till after the result? Well done to the technical team #theKillers," one viewer remarked.

"Possibly the most electric moment of my life. When the Killers livestream the Euros right before England win and they hit us with Mr Brightside," another beamed.

"A great you had to be there moment #ENGNED #EURO2024 #TheKillers," another person posted.

Watkins' goal meant England will be taking on Spain in Sunday's final, with the striker having replaced captain Harry Kane.

Kane had earlier equalise the game with a penalty in the first half.

The win comes as England's furthest Euro victory on foreign soil. Speaking after the match, Kane commented: "History made. Amazing achievement. History made. Amazing achievement.

"I'm so proud of everyone. Every player, every member of staff, I'm so proud of them.

"To do what we've done away from home is really special. There's that feeling there's one more left and we need to do that on Sunday.

"We talk about [Watkins] being ready. We're a big team at being ready. When it matters, you might get five minutes, one minute, but you can make a difference, you can win us a tournament."
