This year's Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will be without one key element of its entertainment program.
DJ and musician Tiesto has announced he'll no longer be performing between the breaks in gameplay.
It would have been a historic occasion for the 55-year-old to do so as it would have been the first time a DJ had performed a set throughout the whole game.
Some of Tiesto's set would've made it to screens as well but unfortunately a "personal family emergency" means he'll be unable to.
He broke the news to his X, formerly Twitter, followers in a post which was soon flooded with messages of support.
Tiesto penned: "Me and my team have been preparing something truly special for months, but a personal family emergency is forcing me to return home Sunday morning.

"It was a tough decision to miss the game, but family always comes first.
"Thank you to the @NFL for the collaboration and looking forward to working with them to deliver something incredible together in the future!"
Well-wishers quickly showed their support for the DJ, including one who penned: "Family first, always. All the best legend!"
A second agreed: "Wishing the best for Tiesto and his family. He was set to be the house DJ for #SuperBowl at @AllegiantStadm."

"Sorry Tiesto was waiting for that #pregame show like crazy. Wish you the best for the family," added a third.
While a fourth showed their disappointment: "I feel like it was going to be something epic and because it was Vegas it was designed for Uncle Tiesto. Officially the musical side of SB is dead."
And a fifth commented: "Wishing all the best to Tiesto, who was set to be the first ever Super Bowl in-game superstar DJ." (sic)
If Tiesto had performed, he'd have been the first DJ to play for the whole game, with the likes of DJ Khaled and Zedd having previously only performed before the match.

At half-time, Yeah and Caught Up singer Usher will perform in front of millions across the globe.
He's kept the details of his set list and performance close to his chest in the build-up to the game but rumours have circulated as to who could join him.
Justin Bieber, Alicia Keys, Pitbull and Post Malone are just four big names who've emerged as likely surprise performers.
UK-based fans will be able to catch kick off at approximately 11:30pm.
