BBC Strictly viewers outraged as ‘wrong person’ sent home in brutal axing: 'Absolute nonsense'
BBC
Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left outraged as Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin are the sixth couple to be sent home.
For Icon’s Week, the couple performed an American Smooth to Love Story (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift – scoring 29 out of a possible 40.
Receiving her feedback from the judges, Motsi Mabuse pointed out there were “some hiccups” over the last couple of weeks, but last night “was much better”.
Shirley Ballas praised Quek’s “grace, charm and nice footwork”, however, the praise began to fall when it came to Craig Revel Horwood.
He claimed Quek looked like she "had a hockey stick strapped to your back, lacked movement and wow factor but fantastic lifts".
Unfortunately for the couple, they had to perform the dreaded dance-off against Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe - with all four judges deciding to save the latter.

Speaking to Tess Daly about her time on the show, Quek said: “I’m gutted, I just want to say thank you. I’ve learned so much. Strictly has just brought that spring in my step back.
“It’s just been an absolute joy. Nikita, you’ve been key in helping me find that inner Sam that was there, who went a little bit quiet for maybe one or two years and has just come back.
“I’m gutted because I do feel like I still have more to give.”
Touching on their time together, Kuzmin added: “I’m just in awe of this girl. Sometimes they say it’s about the journey, not the destination, but to me, it’s about the company.

“Sam you are the most wonderful company I could have had,” leaving Quek teary-eyed and expressing: “I’m guilty of watching the competition and thinking ‘how do they have that relationship as a celebrity and a dancer?’
“All I can say is, the time you spend with each other and what you bring out in each other. It really is, and it sounds dead cheesy, magical.”
Whilst Quek and Kuzmin took to the dancefloor for the final time, viewers of the series were left outraged at the result and took to their X accounts to complain.
One fumed: "What in the actual f***ery is happening this week?!"
"Absolutely shocked at these results! The wrong person definitely went home tonight! Neither one of them should have been in the bottom two!" a second noted.
A third stunned viewer penned: "Montell and Sam are victims of a dreadful theme week their songs were not as memorable so they didn't get the votes. Nothing says icons week like a band performing on the results show that nobody has heard of."
