Solomon had to step away from filming after learning of the guest's touching plan for her daughter

Stacey Solomon was forced to step away from cameras during Tuesday's episode of Sort Your Life Out whilst helping a family declutter their home.

The 35-year-old TV presenter broke down in tears while assisting Ben and Lynda Brearley-Baird, along with their five-year-old daughter Charlotte.

The family's home was severely cluttered, with their garage packed to the ceiling with assorted items.

However, the episode took a moving turn as the couple revealed their cluttered house had gotten out of control following Lynda's terminal liver cancer diagnosis.

In a particularly heartbreaking moment, the full-time mum explained she planned to leave memories behind for her young daughter.

While laying out the couple's belongings, Solomon marvelled at the number of family photos they had around the house. "There's just memories everywhere. It's beautiful," the touched host cooed.

The compliment prompted Lynda to share her plans for a memory box that she was preparing for Charlotte.

"I've actually started one for myself. (Because) Unfortunately, obviously, at some point I won't be here anymore," she explained.

Within the box was a notebook that would contain "random thoughts" for Charlotte to reflect what it would be like if she "was there".

The mum also explained her intention to leave messages for Charlotte's future milestones, including her wedding day and potential motherhood.

"The worst fear for me was when I was first found out, Charlotte was still quite young, is that she won't remember me. I want her to remember me," Lynda tearfully disclosed, as Solomon pulled her into a hug.

"For me, it's taking control of a little bit of the future," she added.

In a later aside, a visibly moved Solomon struggled to maintain composure during filming.

"I've never gone through a section where somebody is aware that there'll be memories they're going to miss. I don't want to get upset because really that's not my job. It's not happening to me," the 35-year-old said before breaking down.

"I'm just finding it really difficult. Charlotte's the same age as my little boy. I just think, oh, god," she wept.

The presenter had to step away from the camera, apologising through tears: "Sorry, it's not about me. I'm sorry."

Solomon wasn't the only one moved by Lynda's touching plan as audiences flooded social media with sympathy and support for her and the family.

"This is one of the most emotional episodes I've watched and what a beautiful family, so loving and touching. Stacey is just the right person to be with them... Life is so unfair at times," wrote one viewer on X.

The episode concluded with the family expressing gratitude for their transformed living space.

"When my time does come, I'm leaving Ben and Charlotte with this behind, and now we can enjoy it all together," Lynda said of their revived home.

Ben shared his emotional response to the renovation: "I feel at peace because I know that Lynda has now got this."

"You've changed our lives for the better," he told Stacey, reflecting on the impact of their home's transformation.
