Fans were distracted during a climatic moment and took to social media to share the error

Eagle-eyed viewers have spotted a production blunder in Netflix's Squid Game Season 2 finale during a crucial fight seen.

The wildly popular Korean dystopian survival thriller returned to the stream giant over Christmas last year.

This article contains spoilers for the new series of Squid Game.

In the dramatic episode Friend of Foe, a cameraman was glimpsed briefly appearing in the background of a shot.

The crew member can be glimpsed in the top right corner of the screen, partially concealed by the dormitory's bunk beds during an intense battle sequence between contestants and guards.

Almost instantly, the production error was highlighted on social media platform Reddit, with viewers quickly sharing screenshots of the moment across various platforms.

The dramatic scene unfolds during a bloody battle between the remaining players and guards, where contestants employ a strategy of playing dead to ambush their opponents.

The moment occurs as Young-il, who had been masquerading as one of Gi-hun's closest allies, is revealed to be the Front Man in a shocking twist.

During this tense sequence, Young-il begins firing upon his own soldiers, methodically eliminating them one by one.

The production error becomes visible precisely when a guard attempts to outflank the players' defensive position, moments before being killed himself.

The crew member, dressed in dark clothing, nearly blends into the background amongst the dormitory's bunk beds, but remains noticeable to attentive viewers.

Social media platforms erupted with reactions to the production error, with viewers taking to social media to share their thoughts. With some speculating the unfortunate cameraman could be sacked for the error.

One user claimed: "Someone is getting fired!"

"Bro is definitely losing his job after that one," another agreed.

"Had to go watch myself, what a blunder," a third viewer commented.

A fourth dismissed it as a "rookie mistake" with a laughing emoji.

One fan expressed disbelief, writing: "How did I not notice this when I was watching Squid Game?"

The blunder marks the latest issue for the hit Netflix show, which premiered its second season on Boxing Day.

Viewers have already expressed mixed feelings about the season's conclusion, with some feeling the final episode wasn't a proper season finale.

Despite these criticisms, the new season has already broken a Netflix record previously held by Wednesday.

The show remains one of Netflix's most successful series, with Season 1 holding the title of most popular Netflix show of all time.

A third and final season is scheduled to arrive later this year, with speculation pointing to a possible June release, though this remains unconfirmed.
