Simon Cowell fans rush to defend star as he faces backlash over changing appearance - 'What on earth!'

Simon Cowell recorded himself showing his support to two of X Factor's success stories from years gone by.
In his latest update, Cowell congratulated the One Direction boys after their single What Makes You Beautiful surpassed one billion Spotify streams.
He also took a moment to promote Lucy Spraggan's new single which is available to stream and download now.
Alongside the clip, Cowell penned: "Huge congratulations to @onedirection for reaching 1 billion streams for ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ on @spotify. A massive thank you to everyone involved and all of the fans!
"And please listen to @lspraggan’s amazing new record ‘Balance’ which is out tomorrow," he signed off.
However, while a number of music fans took to the comments to echo Cowell's praise, others voiced their concern with the BGT judge's appearance.

Some fans suggested Cowell has had "too much botox" before another wrote: "What on earth has happened to your face?"
Responding to the comments, a number of Cowell's fans rushed to defend the music mogul and his appearance.
One fan hit back: "Do you think he won’t read that? Pretend someone says that to your face and imagine how you’d feel? (Maybe they have, which is why you’re so rude)."
While a second defended: "You know he's over 60 years old, it's normal to look like that at that age, then you go look at Madonna and Tom cruise who are older and have plastic surgery and still look like they're in their 30s, Simon is just old, why hate on him?" (sic)
Meanwhile, another follower complimented Cowell's look as they replied: "My man Simon looking bl**dy hot stuff."
While Cowell has been open and honest about his use of botox over the years, the 63-year-old has denied ever having a full facelift.
After Ant and Dec joked about Simon having a "new face" during this year's Britain's Got Talent, Cowell addressed the speculation.
He told the Mirror: "I think it's hysterical. I mean, it just makes me laugh. I haven't had a facelift or anything.

"I've had a bit of Botox or whatever, but nothing drastic. So when I hear about this stuff, honestly it does make me laugh.
"Over the years people have said that I’ve had everything done," Cowell added. "But I don’t Google myself so I genuinely don’t have a clue what everyone is saying about me until we do things like BGT."
Despite laughing off the chat of a facelift, Cowell has admitted he may have gone "a bit too far" with the amount of botox he's had.
He told The Sun previously: "I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all.”
