Sharon Stone has finally revealed the identity of the producer she claimed pressured her into having sex with her co-star for the first time, as well as the actor she was reportedly pushed to get intimate with.
Whilst Stone has previously discussed the situation within her 2021 memoir, she has always kept the identities of the people involved a secret.
However, after 32 years she has finally divulged that the producer was Robert Evans, the actor was William Baldwin – Alec Baldwin’s brother – and the film was Sliver, in 1993.
Evans produced hit movies such as Chinatown and The Cotton Club, as well as heading up production at Paramount for The Godfather, The Italian Job, True Grit, and The Great Gatsby.
After her success and the stardom that came from her role in Basic Instinct the year before, Sliver was her next movie and there were high hopes.
Opening up about the pressure and exposing Evans’ unorthodox ways of bonding with a co-star, Stone told Louis Theroux’s podcast: “They expected me to bring home another giant smash it.

“They gave me casting approval and they gave me all these approvals. But then when it came time for me to do it they told me it was a vanity deal and I couldn’t have my approvals.
“Then they started to try and blame me for their mistakes, and they made terrible mistakes in the way that they hired directors and cast.”
She claimed that Evans “summoned” her from the set to his office to make a request that – for the good of the film – she went and slept with Baldwin, in order to improve his performance.
“He called me to his office. He had these very love seventies, eighties couches, so I’m essentially sitting on the floor, when I should have been on set.

“And he’s running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin because if I slept with Billy, Billy’s performance would get better.
“We needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem. If I could sleep with Billy then we’d have chemistry on screen, and if I would just have sex with him then that would save the movie.
“The real problem with the movie was me because I was so uptight, and so not like a real actress who could just f**k him and get things back on track. The real problem was I was such a tight a**e.”
Stone added she felt frustrated that bosses expected to go from co-starring with Michael Douglas to Baldwin, but noted: “I didn’t have to f**k Michael Douglas.”

The original excerpt about the incident from her memoir – The Beauty of Living Twice – read: “'He walked back and forth in his office with the balls falling out of the spout and rolling all over the wood floor as he explained to me why I should f*** my costar so that we could have onscreen chemistry.”
Baldwin has responded to the claims made by Stone and issues a statement on his official X account, writing: “Not sure why Sharon Stone keep(s) talking about me all these years later?
“Does she still have a crush on me or is she still hurt after all these years because I shunned her advances? The story of the meeting I had with (Sliver producer) Bob Evans imploring him (to) allow me to choreograph the final sex scene... so I wouldn't have to kiss Sharon is absolute legend.
"Wonder if I should write a book and tell the many, many disturbing, kinky and unprofessional tales about Sharon? That might be fun....I have so much dirt on her it would make her head spin but I've kept quiet."
