Sharon Stone, best known for her Oscar-nominated role in Casino and Golden Globe-nominated role in Basic Instinct, has opened up on what life is like for a Hollywood icon.
While the 65-year-old hasn't completely turned her back on Hollywood, she has in recent years focussed much of her attention away from the spotlight and into her work as a painter.
However, she has still made several on-screen appearances of late, starring in the Emmy-winning drama The Flight Attendant, landing a recurring role in Netflix's Ratched, and popping up in the Meryl Streep-led film The Laundromat.
As such, Stone remains a familiar face to cinemagoers and telly-watchers across the globe, as well as art enthusiasts - she's heading to Berlin, Germany later this month for her own exhibition.
But despite the doors she's opened and the success she's achieved across different fields, Stone isn't particularly fond of the pricey lifestyle fame has thrust upon her.
"It’s very expensive to be famous," Stone claimed to InStyle during a recent interview.

She went on: "You go out to dinner, and there’s 15 people at the table, and who gets the check?
"You get the $3,000 dinner check every single time."
Elsewhere in the interview, Stone acknowledged the fact that she was perceived as "arrogant and dismissive" when on jobs due to the fact she'd demand - and even threaten to leave - if pay and other conditions weren't met.
But Stone defended her conduct due to the fact a "normal" way of life was behind her, something she reiterated as she said: "At least now [people] understand that Jennifer Lawrence can’t just skip onto an airplane. Nicole Kidman can’t jump onto Delta. Sharon Stone can’t do it either, whether or not she’s doing a lot of movies.

"[People] think, ‘What have you been in?’ And it’s like, ‘Dude, they know me in the Amazon rainforest. It’s tampons, Q-tips and Sharon Stone.’"
The expense of A-list life appears to be catching up to Stone she says, claiming that she'll soon have to sell her "big, fancy house" once her children - Roan, 23, Laird, 18, and Quinn, 17 - all leave home.
Following Stone's latest remarks, it's safe to say members of the public aren't too impressed with her complaints.
After Stone's moans about the price of fame went viral on social media, one X user hit back: "It’s even more expensive being poor and unknown!"

A second also piled in on the actor as they hit out: "Acting like she can't afford it. stfu. read the room."
"Sheesh entitled much," a third slammed while a fourth sarcastically remarked: "How can we donate to Sharon Stone?"
However, others were quick to defend Stone's comments in light of the current economic climate.
"She is right," one fan defended in response to a Fox News article while another X user said: "She isn't wrong, just annoying." (sic)
