Sharon Osbourne claimed that she had never met former This Morning presenter Fern Britton when the pair first entered the Big Brother house – but eagle-eyed fans were quick to note she was “lying”.
Osbourne was the first celebrity to enter the house and was quickly followed by former X Factor judge and co-star Louis Walsh.
The pair were sent into a secret room where they had to put three of the celebrities in the danger zone of being put up for eviction on Friday night, simply based on their first impressions.
Britton was the final celebrity to enter the house and whilst Walsh was thrilled to see the former presenter, Osbourne couldn’t be sure that they had ever met.
As Britton walked through the doors, Osbourne noted: “She looks lovely,” before Walsh interjected and said: “She’s nice! She’s been on TV since forever. Fern Britton, they all know her.
“You know Fern Britton,” leaving Osbourne to admit: “Do you know, I know who she is, of course, but I have never met her.”

However, viewers of the show wasted no time in digging out an old clip of the two of them meeting nearly two decades ago during an interview on This Morning.
Osbourne joined Britton and Phillip Schofield to discuss her first impressions of Simon Cowell, a moment Britton and Schofield found amusing.
Unaware her comments would cause a stir, Osbourne said at the time: “I’d never met Simon before at all, so I was like why would you want to project that negativity, that hurtfulness.
“And the when I met Simon, I realised why. He’s an a**ehole.”

Britton quickly apologised for the colourful language which was used in the moment, but it was captured forever and left many to wonder how Osbourne had forgotten their encounter.
The former judge will only be inside the Big Brother house for five days but that didn’t stop ITV breaking the bank and spending an eye-watering £100,000 a day on her signing.
Whilst she will interact with the main house during the day, Osbourne has an area off-limits to the other housemates which includes a private suite, personal bathroom, luxurious double bed and other modern conveniences.
A source told the MailOnline: “Sharon is Celebrity Big Brother's star signing so producers were prepared to make her living situation more comfortable, especially given her age.

“Viewers will see Sharon in her own room complete with an en-suite during Tuesday night's episode but she will still be interacting with the other housemates and be a part of the main action in the house.”
Osbourne recently revealed why she was only there for a short amount of time and explained she didn’t want to leave her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, for too long.
She told The Sun: “I don’t think I have ever gone a week without talking to any of them, ever. Through fights, feuds, everything. We still talk and this will definitely be the longest. I don’t know how I am going to cope.”
