Property expert Sarah Beeny opened up about her "heartbreaking" cancer battle during her appearance on Channel 4's Celebrity Bake Off Stand Up to Cancer special last night.
The 53-year-old presenter shared her personal connection to the fundraising programme.
"I am here to support Stand Up To Cancer. Having been impacted with cancer myself, I learnt a lot when I was diagnosed with it," Beeny explained.
She praised advancements in treatment, adding: "Cancer treatment has come on so far. Compared to where it was, it's amazing.
“Compared to where it is going, it will be even more amazing."
Beeny appeared alongside Roman Kemp, Maxine Peake and Amelia Dimoldenberg.

The broadcaster was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2022, a journey that led to gruelling chemotherapy treatment.
She also underwent a double mastectomy as part of her cancer treatment plan.
In April 2023, Beeny received the all-clear from doctors, marking the end of her immediate cancer battle.
Last year, she released a documentary titled "Sarah Beeny vs. Cancer" which detailed her cancer journey.
The documentary, released in June 2024, provided an intimate look at her experience including her double mastectomy procedure.
Viewers were moved by Beeny's appearance on the baking show, with many taking to social media to share their support.
Cancer has deeply affected Beeny's family across generations.
Her mother died from breast cancer that spread to her brain when Sarah was just 10 years old.
Her stepmother also died from a brain tumour, adding to the family's tragic history with the disease.
"I'm very lucky, I had a very fortunate diagnosis," Beeny said on BBC Breakfast.

She added poignantly: "She won't see her grandchildren, but she died so I can see mine."
