Comedian Ricky Gervais, 62, has silenced the woke who've spent the last few weeks calling for his head after he bagged a Golden Globe on Sunday evening.
The Extras and The Office creator was absent from the ceremony in Hollywood where he was given the award for best performance in stand-up comedy on television.
The gong comes just weeks after his latest stand-up special, Armageddon, dropped on Netflix on Christmas Day.
But the special has gone on to receive mixed reviews, with several cancel culture pariahs condemning Gervais' jokes.
In his latest special, Gervais mocks the trans movement and cancer patients as well as immigration - and even takes a pop at the BBC's Gary Lineker.
The win would've undoubtedly been a shock to those who've spent much of the past few weeks calling for the comedian to be silenced - but it seems it came as a surprise to Gervais himself.

NETFLIX
Gervais wasn't in attendance to pick up the award but did take to X, formerly Twitter, to admit he didn't think he'd win.
Before his category was announced on air, Gervais posted: "I’m nominated for another Golden Globe tonight.
"This time for my Netflix special #Armageddon. Won’t win, but it’s nice to still be up there in the mix, flying the flag."
Since his victory, he's gone on to repost a number of articles about the win and shared a snap of him holding the award.
"I f***ing won!" Gervais simply captioned the post to his 15 million followers.
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments & kind words about my Golden Globe win. Best fans in the world. I’m playing a 200 seater tonight in King’s Cross doing new material. The glamour 😂 Have a great day! pic.twitter.com/896HTemukY

The category was only added this year, meaning Gervais has made history as its first-ever winner.
Fellow comedian Jim Gaffigan was the person on stage who presented the award.
He said: "This is the first time stand-up comedians have been acknowledged at a major awards show.
"For 80 years, good-looking people threw a party and now you’ve finally decided to invite the talented people."

Gaffigan himself caused controversy earlier in the show when he joked about convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and the release of court papers that named dozens of well-known figures linked to him.
Taking to the stage, Gaffigan quipped: "This is so exciting for me.
"The Golden Globes – I can’t even believe I’m in the entertainment industry. I can't.
"You know, it's so unlikely. I’m from a small town in Indiana. I'm not a paedophile.
"I don't know if that's a new category here, but..." Gaffigan added while audience members gasped.
Other winners on the evening included Barbie, Oppenheimer, Succession, Billie Eilish and many more.
