The TV personality broke her silence on ITV’s ongoing Phillip Schofield scandal during an interview with GB News’ Dan Wootton on Wednesday
Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona has claimed her car-crash This Morning interview left her feeling suicidal as she accused Phillip Schofield of “belittling” and “condescending” her.
The 42-year-old, who frequently appeared on the sofa of ITV’s flagship primetime programme, joined GB News host Dan Wootton last night to discuss her experience with Schofield.
Schofield, 61, questioned the TV personality on her slurring her speech live on air in 2008.
Katona accused the presenter of having “belittling” her and being “condescending”.
She also revealed her slurred speech was brought on by her bipolar medication.
Katona claimed she was left feeling suicidal after the appearance and criticised ITV for allegedly not reaching out.
She told GB News: “People don't understand what that interview did to me emotionally.”
Katona added: “Even now, when I go back to ITV - which isn't very often - there is a sense of snobbery and that I'm not good enough.
Katona accused Schofield of “belittling” her and being “condescending”.

“I feel like I have to impress them, I've got to watch my speech, I can't slur.”
Speaking about how the interview left her suicidal, Katona claimed: “It was just awful.
“I was suicidal. I wanted to die, I wanted to kill myself. It was everywhere.”
The 42-year-old, who has been sober for more than a decade, also alleged that nobody wanted to work with her following the interview and revealed how it impacted her everyday life.

Katona broke down in tears discussing the car-crash This Morning interview.
She explained: “Even now, when I look at that video, I feel so ashamed and so hard done by, even now. For ten years, I've had to justify myself.”
The singer-turned-TV-personality added: “I've got no reason to lie [about the medication], even today I have to justify myself for that interview.”
During interview from 15 years ago, Schofield said: “I’ve got to ask you something, Kerry, because there will be a lot of people watching you now who would have followed your career and seen your ups and downs and really watched you lurch from crisis to crisis.
Katona’s comments come as This Morning continues to grapple with the fallout of the Schofield saga.

“As people, we’ve known you for a very long time, you don’t, if I’m honest now, seem right to me sitting here now.
“You got the body sorted but your speech is a bit slurred. How are you feeling?”
Katona responded by saying: “Is it? That’s probably because I have medication at night time which I took at about 11.30pm last night.”
She added: “Now, this is going to be made into a huge big publicity thing.”
Former This Morning co-host Fern Britton also asked about Katona’s alcohol consumption.
However, Katona’s comments come as This Morning continues to grapple with the fallout of the Schofield saga.
Schofield, who presented ITV’s flagship show for more than two decades, quit as his relationship with colleague Holly Willoughby floundered.
He later admitted to having an “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger member of the This Morning production team.
Schofield was slammed by his management team YMU, ITV and Willoughby for previously denying he had an affair.
