I'M A CELEBRITY: The darts legend revealed that he has been approached to appear on the show and he now wants in

Darts legend Phil Taylor has tipped Nigel Farage to win I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! - and pledged to sign up for next year’s series.

Speaking to Patrick Christys on GB News he said: “I did an interview with them a few years ago, but at the time I couldn't possibly have done it because of the World Championships and tournaments that were around.

“Now I would. I would jump at the chance. I think Nigel’s done brilliantly, he’s come in and everyone seems to like Nigel, not just me but the general public themselves.

“If you want to stick a tenner bet on, put it on Nigel. He’s done well."

Speaking on Patrick Christys Tonight, he continued: “Some of the people in the jungle at the minute, I’ve never heard of them.

“I’m 63 so I haven’t got a clue about some of these people, I’m asking my wife ‘who’s that?’ We don’t watch these reality shows and things like that. We’ll watch the jungle and we like that.”

Backing Nigel's no-nonsense form of politics, he added: “Nigel Farage is good at politics. I like him. I'd vote for him if he was Prime Minister, trust me.

“Seriously, he’s honest. That's what I like but he doesn't pull any punches. He says it's how it is and that's what I love about him.

“I get him on TikTok, I watch a lot of TikTok and I love it and he comes up many, many times, you know, when you stop a bank account, or they've done this, they've done that, and he's dead honest.

“That's what I like about him and he says it as it is. You know, a lot of politicians, I watch different shows with politicians on and they never answer the questions.”

The GB News presenter is among 10 celebrities who have headed to the outback for three weeks of Bushtucker Trials, creepy crawlies and sleeping under the stars.

Farage and YouTuber Nella Rose were nominated by the public to tackle the first Bushtucker Trial of the series, which saw them chomping down on a variety of pizzas with stomach-turning toppings.

The pair took their seat opposite one another as Ant and Dec - whose dig at GB News was expertly batted away by Mark Dolan on Sunday - stood by the side of the table.

Despite many squirms and lots of gagging, the duo managed to secure an impressive nine out of 10 stars for the camp.
