Pete Wicks fans fear BBC Strictly exit as they fume at 'stitch up' over upcoming routine: 'Don't match up!'
WE NEED TO TALK
The reality TV star is taking on a Salsa to an iconic Queen track this week
Pete Wicks fans have slammed Strictly Come Dancing bosses for the combination of song and dance style he's been given heading into Week Seven of the competition.
In the show's first-ever Icons Week, Wicks and the rest of the Strictly cast will be performing to some of the biggest songs ever as they channel musical legends from years gone by.
Wicks, who along with partner Jowita Przystal has managed to avoid the dreaded dance-off so far this series, will be taking on a Salsa to the Queen track, Another One Bites the Dust.
The Icons Weeks routine comes a week after he and Przystal racked up their series-best score of 31 for their Halloween-inspired Viennese Waltz.
Having seen the former TOWIE star - who appeared to confirm a romance with another big-name reality star this week - improve show after show, some fans fear the Icons Week combination could spell trouble.
So much so, that they flooded the Instagram post published by the show's account that announced the routines with their dismayed reactions.

"A salsa to another one bites the dust? Really?! could not think of a less appropriate song for that dance," one fan criticised.
A second echoed: "A salsa to another bites the dust, have a day off whoever picked the songs choices. Kinda boring concept. Could have had them doing iconic dances from the past 20 years of scd."
Meanwhile, a third also shared their concern for Wicks: "It’s a good job the public are behind Pete because his music choices have been some stitch ups."
And a fourth agreed, simply weighing into the discussion: "Clearly trying to catch Pete out."
Amid the uproar, however, were still some fans who hit back at the complaints over Wicks' routines - as well as others who simply can't wait to see what he comes up with.
"Every post now is being taken over by whining Pete ‘fans’," one fan argued. "Wish they’d stop ruining the vibe."
Elsewhere, a second excitedly wrote: "Pete doing another one bites the dust? LETS GO. I remember him saying on his podcast that he had an idea for icon week and I hope this is what he meant!"
Despite the concerns of some, Wicks has been backed by bookmakers to survive Icons Week and bag his spot in Week Eight of the competition.
Last week, it was Dr Punam Krishan who lost her spot in the contest after losing the dance-off to Shayne Ward - a result the X Factor winner admitted "gutted him".
Unfortunately for Ward, bookmakers are tipping him to land in the dance-off for a third time as he's priced as the frontrunner for the boot this weekend.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
James Leyfield from Gambling.com told GB News about this weekend's elimination odds: "After surviving his second dance-off of the series, Shayne Ward started last week as the 11/4 joint-favourite to go home.
"However, he has been backed into 15/8 favourite for a Week Seven departure.
"Sam Quek - who is 100/1 to win the show, is the 3/1 second favourite to go home this weekend, while JB Gill is 10/3 third favourite to leave the show this weekend.
"Wynne Evans isn't far behind at 6/1, followed by 10/1 chance Pete Wicks. Montell Douglas is also 10/1 for a week seven departure, despite being awarded 35 points last Saturday night and 39 points in Week Five."
