Strictly’s celeb contestants will perform two routines in the semi-final

Towie star Pete Wicks is facing fresh claims of a “fix” after fans claimed he and pro dance partner Jowita Przystal will avoid tricky dances in this Saturday’s semi-final.

Viewers had previously claimed Wicks, 36, was given favourable treatment from the judges after making a key error in his Musicals Week dance.

Despite the mistake, Wicks did not face the dreaded dance-off which saw former Olympian Montell Douglas elimited from the competition.

In the semi’s, Wicks and Przystal will perform an Argentine Tango to Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve and a Foxtrot to Beyond The Sea by Bobby Darin.

As the routines were announced, fans were quick to share their fury over the perception Wicks had been given easier dances to perform.

“Another week and Pete has still avoided the jive ahahahahah the show is fixed mate,” one exclaimed.

Another questioned furiously: “Are you joking me we’re not going to see a Pete Charleston or jive this season at all!!??

“Why does Pete get to avoid doing a Jive & a Charleston? Those are 2 really difficult dances that everyone else has had to do...seems unfair,” a third concluded.

Fans also felt Tasha Ghouri, who survived the dance-off against Douglas last week, was given a comparatively harder dance to impress with.

“They really want to get rid of Tasha now, giving her a boring Waltz at this point in the competition,” one fan accused.

However, other fans expressed their excitement for Wicks and Przystal’s dances.

“Pete and Jowita Argentine tango... been waiting all series for this,” one glowed.

Another promised: “My only Saturday night plans are to watch Pete and Jowita Argentine Tango.”

A third declared Wicks was: “Defining what strictly is about! Love seeing someone with no experience improve and progress and it’s clear you have put so much hard work in!

Fans also leapt to Wicks defence, responding to the outrage.

One questioned: “Why is everyone down on Pete and Chris when they are the most improved with no previous experience. Surely that's what the show is all about!”

Another observed: “The Hate on Pete is unreal. #BeKind thing was clearly just a trend with how people acting.”

Despite a divisive few weeks languishing at the bottom of the judge's leaderboard, Wicks has so-far kept the faith of the voting public.

Voters have so far kept the Towie star clear of each week’s bottom two, which has allowed him to avoid the dance-off across the series.
