Perez Hilton has detailed the healing rift between Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, after he was spotted sitting next to Jackson's daughter at Paris Fashion Week.
The two music legends butted heads in the 80s, after Jackson decided to purchase the majority of McCartney's band's back catalogue for almost $50million (£39million).
The purchase sparked a feud between the previously close friends and collaborators, as McCartney had not been receiving his share of the earnings from Beatles songs since 1969, due to the mismanagement of his and John Lennon’s publishing company, Northern Songs.
In 1985, after the purchases were made, McCartney planned to purchase back the rights to what was truly his. However, Jackson sealed the rights all for himself before he could launch a bid.

At the time, McCartney branded the move "dodgy" and compared it to "being someone’s friend, and then buy the rug they’re standing on".
In 2017, McCartney and his legal team filed a lawsuit against Sony/ATV to reclaim ownership and won the case through a settlement agreement.
Detailing the historic feud on GBN America, commentator Perez Hilton said it happened "over 30 years ago" and time is "a healer" in all rows.
Reacting to the joint appearance of Sir Paul and Paris Jackson at Fashion Week, Hilton said what happened between McCartney and Michael won't have an effect on his interactions with his daughter.

Hilton said: "Just because he might have had some professional grievances with Paris Jackson's father, that doesn't mean that he feels any ill will towards this young woman."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Hilton recalled: "Paris has publicly struggled a lot with various mental health issues and just dealing with her extended family and celebrity life.
"I have a lot of compassion for her. Macca's up there in age and he's seen it all."
He also suggested that the Beatles legend could "offer advice" to Jackson and make amends with the family.
Hilton told Nana Akua: "He carries with him a lot of wisdom and hopefully he was able to share some fond memories of her father and maybe give her some life advice."

Nana then made a joke using one of McCartney's iconic songs, and how the title didn't reflect his fallout with Michael Jackson.
Nana said: "Ironically, wasn't the song Ebony and Ivory 'lived together in perfect harmony'? Perhaps not for those two. I love that song!"
