The former Oasis star made an admission about the state of his health

Former Oasis star Noel Gallagher has issued a gloomy take on his health as he made concerning comments regarding his future.

The guitarist, 57, is best known for having starred in the 1990s hit band alongside brother Liam, 51, with whom he has a famous and ongoing rift.

The Mancunian musician found fame in iconic rock band Oasis, finding international success in the early 90s. While his Oasis days are behind him, Gallagher fronts and still performs in his band, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

However, the Wonderwall hit-maker admitted recently he feels he'd be lucky to make it to the age of 60, before going on to unveil his plans to potentially cut out alcohol.

Discussing Aerosmith's decision to quit touring, he commented: "Well, I mean - they've got to be pushing what... 70 now, innit? I mean, the way I feel f***ing now, I mean I'll be f***ing lucky if I make it to 60."

Speaking to Matt Morgan on his podcast, he added: "Just because [Mick] Jagger is mincing around at 103 doesn't mean everyone can."

He went on to joke he had been putting weight on and that drinking was behind it. "I could do with getting off the booze, let's put it that way," he admitted.

Gallagher's admission comes not long after he was booed off the stage for dismissing Oasis reunion rumours. As his band headlined the Y Not Festival last weekend, he responded to a fan's question about a comeback.

"When are we going to see you? In 2025 or 2026? The answer is neither," he replied bluntly. The reply was met with boos from the audience.

Not one to be offended, he quipped: "I'll take the fact that you're booing as a compliment!" He went on to joke he and his bandmates were "sick" of each other as the set came to an end.

"Well, this is the last night of our tour tonight... We've been on tour for over a year, so we're sick of the sight of each other," he told the crowd before concluding: "So, we need to get away from it for a while".

The warring Oasis brothers have been embroiled in an infamous row for decades, with their latest bust-up taking place at Oasis' final concert in Paris back in 2009.

Oasis fans continue to call for a reunion despite both brothers brushing off rumours throughout the years.

Back in May, Liam slapped back at claims Oasis could make a comeback after former bandmate Andy Bell suggested a reunion could be on the horizon.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, soon after Bell's remarks, Gallagher aimed a not-so-subtle dig at the former Oasis bass player.

He penned: “Andy bell from ride the shoe gazing phenomenon should really not be getting people’s hopes up it’s not big and it’s not clever LG x.”

As fans took to the comments section to express their disappointment, Bell, 59, responded to the awkward scolding.

Sharing the post, he wrote: “Apologies ! Didn't mean to get anyone’s hopes up, nothing to see here ! X.” (sic)
