Nikita Kuzmin selflessly nominated himself for eviction in the latest episode of Celebrity Big Brother in order to save his housemates from having to exit the show.
However, the move may have been more tactical than it first appeared, and the Strictly Come Dancing star’s “bravery” has divided fans of the show.
Kuzmin, 26, took one for the team after the celebrities were told pick someone to face the public vote.
The Ukrainian choreographer insisted the group agree to let him face the next eviction, and while some viewers were touched by his “brave” sacrifice, others argued he “knew what he was doing” thanks to his popularity.
“Petition to save Nikita for his courage and his massive heart of gold #CBBUK,” one wrote, applauding Kuzmin's decision.
Another shared: “That was a very brave choice by Nikita to choose the option of being put up for eviction, but will that choice work out, only time will tell though! #CBBUK #CBB #BBLL.”

“There’s not a chance in hell we will allow Nikita to be nominated out, he’s our winner. He’s such a kind hearted and overall lovely person and the world needs more of him #CBBUK #CBB,” another fan commented.
However, the decision definitely split fans of the show because some thought the dancer was being tactical.
“Nikita knows what he’s doing #CBBUK @bbuk,” one person argued, while another added: “So David getting on to Marisha but Nikita put himself up because like Louis said he knows what he’s doing! #cbbuk.”
“Louis is completely right about #nikita he's trying to be a martyr #cbb #CelebrityBigBrother,” (sic) someone else posted.

The Strictly star has definitely built a strong following on the show, with many betting on him as their winner already.
Experts have also deemed him among the contenders to go all the way in the show, with best-selling author and leading TV Psychic Medium TJ Higgs noting Kuzmin's positive attributes.
Making her predictions about the famous faces in the house, Higgs picked The Whale Card for Kuzmin, and told GB News: "The whale, a magnificent and awe-inspiring creature, symbolises spiritual guidance, strength, and wisdom.
"Nikita is a peacemaker and displays wisdom beyond his years. His presence will naturally bring a calming influence to the house."

Another twist was later confirmed regarding the eviction, with Late and Live viewers shown a clip of Fern Britton being called to the diary room to talk to Big Brother.
The presenter was informed whichever housemate’s bed she had secretly placed a snake in would end up being up for eviction.
However, host AJ Odudu explained Big Brother had lied to the 66-year-old.
“What Fern didn't know is that whichever housemate she selects will actually have the luck of the Irish on their side,” she confessed.
”They wouldn't be evicted, they wouldn't even face eviction, instead that housemate would be granted full nomination immunity and granted a place in Friday's final!”
The latest pair to leave the house were Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Levi Roots after Friday saw the public vote the two off.
