A new actor has entered the running to land the role of James Bond following Daniel Craig's exit, GB News has exclusively been told.
While Bond bosses still haven't given anything away as to who the next person to play 007 will be, there's been a huge shift in bookmakers' markets following reports Christopher Nolan could be the man at the helm.
A source told World of Reel that not only is Nolan being targeted by Barbara Broccoli and co to direct the next two films, but that he'll be able to lend his talents in the writers' room as well.
As soon as the rumours emerged, fans flooded the web with their predictions as to who Nolan would employ, with several claiming they'd "worked out" who the next Bond star would be.
And reports of Nolan's involvement have led to a huge shift in the markets for who'll step into Craig's shoes, with the likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Cillian Murphy both seeing their odds slashed as a result.
The two had already long been touted as frontrunners to play the famous spy but arguably the most surprising shift to the market comes in the form of a newcomer entering the fray.
Robert Pattinson has emerged in the running to land Bond role

Twilight and Batman star Robert Pattinson has now emerged as an outside shot to take on the role of Bond after previously being out of consideration.
Providing exclusive insight to GB News, betting expert and spokesperson for www.safebettingsites.com Neil Roarty explained: “007 fans have been getting extremely excited by recent rumours that Christopher Nolan could be directing the next James Bond film and that speculation has certainly had an impact on the betting for our next Bond star.
"Long-time favourite Aaron Taylor-Johnson continues to lead the betting, but the Tenet actor has seen his odds contract even more from 5/2 to 2/1.
"The Christopher Nolan effect has also seen Robert Pattinson, another Tenet star, become a new entry in the market at 14/1.
"However, the biggest market shift has seen long-time Christopher Nolan collaborator Cillian Murphy’s odds contract dramatically from 14/1 to 4/1 to move into joint-second in the betting.
"If Nolan is the man to take the helm of the next 007 film, will he prove to be kingmaker when it comes to the next James Bond?"
The dramatic shifts to the market will come as no surprise to Nolan's fans given the fact he's worked with Taylor-Johnson, Murphy and Pattinson previously.
Murphy, for instance, has starred in a number of Nolan projects, including Inception, Dunkirk, Oppenheimer, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises.

Daniel Craig left the role of James Bond behind in 2019 following No Time to Die
METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER STUDIOS, COLUMBIA PICTURES, DANJAQ, LLCPattinson and Taylor-Johnson, on the other hand, both collaborated with Nolan on his mind-bending thriller Tenet back in 2020.
There are still a number of actors who aren't as familiar with Nolan's work still in the running to replace Craig - who himself hit headlines recently after he debuted a new look world's away from his 007 appearance.
Also among the frontrunners are the likes of Damson Idris at 4/1, James Norton at 5/1 and Henry Cavill at 6/1.
Murphy's Dunkirk, Inception and The Dark Knight Rises co-star Tom Hardy is also an outside punt to bag the part at 8/1.
Should Nolan officially board the project, it looks like Bond fans could be set for a familiar collaboration once again given the bookies' predictions.
