The Love Island star's documentary will drop on Amazon Prime tomorrow

Molly-Mae Hague has strongly denied claims that her split from Tommy Fury was a publicity stunt ahead of her new Amazon Prime documentary release.

When news of their split first came out, many fans of the Love Island couple were left devastated and concerned as to why they had parted ways.

Now, many have turned on the couple and claimed their break-up was a publicity stunt to promote Hague’s upcoming documentary series and Fury’s recent book launch.

The couple were also spotted sharing a New Year’s kiss at Luke Shaw’s party which planted further doubt in their fan's minds.

However, Hague has since clapped back at the rumours their split was a publicity stunt and set the record straight.

Speaking at The Londoner Hotel, she said: “I actually say in the documentary that I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier.”

The 25-year-old influencer described the suggestions as "very painful to read" following her separation from Fury in August.

"Tommy and I have a baby together and it's very, very real. It's a really hard thing that we have both gone through the past six months," she added.

When the pair first split, neither Hague nor Fury revealed the circumstances surrounding their decision to part ways.

However, Fury recently sat down with Men’s Health to reveal that his addiction to alcohol became the reason for their relationship breakdown.

He admitted: “The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.

“It kills me to say it, but it's true, I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is.”

Fury vehemently denied any allegations of infidelity, dismissing the cheating rumours as "complete and utter b******s."

During her conversation at The Londoner Hotel, Hague opened up about navigating their separation in the public eye.

"We are navigating a really complicated time in both our lives in the public eye. This is a whole new territory for me.

“The reason why I don't comment on it or speak about it on my YouTube or publicly is because simply we are both navigating it ourselves, we are figuring it out as adults and as parents."
