Molly-Mae Hague has hit back at criticism over eating whilst driving, unleashing a sarcastic response in her latest YouTube vlog.

The former Love Island star faced backlash after being filmed eating McDonald's chicken nuggets while driving in her Amazon Prime documentary.

In the documentary - Molly-Mae: Behind It All - cameras followed Hague visiting a McDonald's drive-thru as she navigated her life going through a public breakup with her ex-fiancé Tommy Fury.

She placed a substantial order including a large Chicken Big Mac meal, six chicken nuggets, a mozzarella dipper sharebox, and three dips - curry, ketchup, and BBQ.

Speaking to the camera while driving, she said: "I love food like I actually live to eat. So many people that are around me are like, 'I'll just get the salad' and that could never be me."

Road safety experts were quick to condemn such behaviour, with IAM RoadSmart highlighting significant risks.

"If you're distracted, you may even fail to brake at all which risks a huge collision," said spokesperson Harriet Hernando, noting that at 60mph it takes over 70 metres to stop in an emergency.

Caitlin Taylor, road safety manager at The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, added: "Eating, drinking, or engaging in any activity that takes your hands off the wheel or your mind off the road can significantly increase the risk of a collision."

In her latest YouTube vlog, Hague sarcastically addressed the controversy while filming another McDonald's trip with her sister Zoe Hague, 27.

Making light of the situation, she quipped: "Now we've got to park up, because the last time I ate a McDonald's chicken nugget....."

"Oh yeah, that was a bad one for you," her sister jokingly responded.

According to insurance group RAC, drivers could face penalties if eating while driving causes a distraction and could face an on-the-spot fine of £100 and three penalty points.

The group warned: "If you get distracted while snacking behind the wheel, the police could prosecute you for careless driving if they consider you to not be in proper control of the vehicle."

Her response to the controversy comes as many fans have claimed the couple are already back together after they were spotted kissing at a New Year's Eve party.

Their reunion will be shown during the next instalment of her documentary which is set to drop on the streaming service in the spring.

The Maebe creator’s reaction was caught on camera at the end of the third episode after being called by her manager.

Being shocked at the latest headlines, she replied: “Oh my god… No, my god. What?! Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury kiss on New Year’s Eve… That is so bad.”

Just days before the documentary, Men’s Health released their sit-down interview with Fury who admitted that the cause of their relationship breakdown was due to his alcohol addiction.
