The actor faced "very serious" allegations from film star Bella Thorne following his CBB exit

Mickey Rourke has denied allegations made by actress Bella Thorne that he intentionally injured her genitals with a metal grinder during filming of a joint project.

The 72-year-old actor's representatives issued a statement saying he "adamantly denies any intentional misconduct" following Thorne's claims that left her with bruises on her pelvic bone.

Thorne, 27, made the accusations after Rourke was ejected from Celebrity Big Brother UK over the weekend for "inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour".

The former Disney star described working with Rourke as "one of the all-time worst experiences of my life working as an actress".

In an Instagram post, Thorne detailed a scene where she was "on my knees with my hands zip-tied around my back".

"He's supposed to take a metal grinder to my kneecap and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again," she alleged.

The actress claimed this left her with "bruises on my pelvic bone".

Thorne's allegations emerged after Rourke faced criticism for his behaviour on Celebrity Big Brother, where he was deemed to have made homophobic comments towards JoJo Siwa.

The timing prompted Thorne to share her experience, beginning her post with: "This f***ing dude. GROSS."

In a follow-up post on X, Thorne shared "so many gross stories" about her time working with Rourke on the film.

She claimed he used a car to "speed up and rev his engine so he could cover me completely in dirt" during one scene.

"I guess he thought it was funny to humiliate me in front of the entire crew," she wrote.

Thorne also alleged she had to go to Rourke's trailer "absolutely alone" to convince him to complete filming when he "refused to speak to the director or producers".

"In fact, I had to beg. Alone. In his trailer," she stated, explaining the film couldn't be finished without him.

Rourke's representatives responded to Thorne's allegations in a statement to Variety, calling them "extremely serious".

"Mr. Rourke adamantly denies any intentional misconduct," the statement read.

His team claimed he "was not made aware of any such concerns during filming and had no prior knowledge of Ms. Thorne's discomfort until now".

The statement continued: "Out of respect for all parties and given the gravity of the claims, Mr. Rourke will not be making further public comment at this time."

His representatives added that Rourke "remains willing to cooperate with any appropriate inquiry through the proper channels".

They affirmed "the right of every performer to feel safe and respected in their work environment".

Rourke was removed from Celebrity Big Brother on Saturday after what the show described as "further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour" after he squared up to Love Island star, Chris Hughes.

A spokesperson for the show confirmed: "Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother".

Following his exit from the reality show, Rourke issued an apology for his behaviour, admitting he was "ashamed" for losing his temper with Hughes.

"I did wrong, I apologise," he said in a clip shared online. "I stepped over the line, and I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. Because I lost my temper, and I've been trying to work on it my whole life."

Rourke expressed remorse, adding: "I wish I would have had better self-control. I'm very sorry. I'm ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there."

He clarified: "Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt, or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset, but, you know, I'm sorry about that."
