The TV doctor, 67, was reported missing on Wednesday

More CCTV footage has emerged that appears to show missing TV doctor Michael Mosley on the Greek island of Symi.

On Friday, camera footage from a restaurant on the island was released and now, more CCTV images have been released showing him near a marina in the village of Pedi.

The newly-released footage shows Mosley wearing shorts, trainers and holding an umbrella - similar to the images released on Friday.

The new images come just hours after the mayor of Symi, Eleftherios Papakaloudoukas, delivered an update on the situation after resuming the search on Saturday.

With temperatures rocketing towards 40C, the mayor heightened concerns for Mosley's wellbeing when he mused he didn't know how anyone "could survive" the scorching heat.

The weather got so intense on Saturday morning that search dogs had to be called off after just one hour.

However, Papakaloudoukas has vowed he will not stop searching for Mosley until the This Morning and The One Show regular is found.

The search operation has included police, firefighters with drones, volunteer groups, divers, and Mosley's own children who flew out to Greece this week.

As authorities continue to scour the land and water for answers, Papakaloudoukas mentioned earlier this week that it was "impossible" Mosley was near the area where he was last reported being seen.

Concerns have been raised that he may have been "swept into the sea", with divers helping out off the coast of Pedi.

Journalist Niki Kitsantonis reported on the fears on Friday, telling ITV: "There are fears he might have slipped. It’s quite rugged terrain in that area, and there are lots of high points you could slip off.

"The mayor of the island is worried he has perhaps swept away at sea."

On Saturday, attention is being focussed on a different path on the island as every theory is explored.

However, GB News' Anne Diamond waded into the working theories about Mosley's whereabouts, claiming there is one theory that sadly "doesn't make sense".

Speaking to Greek journalist Iliana Magra, she explained from Athens: "The very strange and worrying thing is that - obviously, the authorities aren't talking - (but) even the mayor and local residents of this very small island which has a population of about 2,500 residents do not understand what might have happened.

"It's a small island and what they're saying is that a person doesn't just disappear that easily.

"The authorities are now focussing on a different path that he might have taken so he left the beach at 1:30pm on Wednesday, then he was seen at Pedi which is a village on Symi island. He was around there at 2pm.

"Then we don't know where he went," Magra admitted. "Now they're searching a different path he may have taken through a mountainous area so the search area is focusing there so hopefully we'll have news and hopefully we'll have good news soon."

Diamond weighed in: "Hopefully it will be good news but he has been missing a long time now and that in itself is a worry unless he's found shelter somewhere..."

However, the GB News star quickly conceded the shelter theory may no longer hold weight, musing it "doesn't make very much sense now" before continuing: "It's just so weird that he hasn't been found and there's been no trace of him or people haven't bumped into him."
