The TV doctor was reported missing while on a coastal walk in Greece
Michael Mosely is still missing on the island of Symi in Greece with a search operation underway to find the TV doctor, but one insider has claimed she finds the incident "strange".
The 67-year-old was reported to be missing on Thursday afternoon with a local Facebook group appealing: "They are expected to arrive by about 1 pm. Have you seen this man?
"He set off to walk back from St Nick's at about 13.30 and failed to make it home. His friends are concerned as it is 6 hours since they last saw him.
"His name is Dr Mike Mosley and he is a familiar face for many British people.
A search and rescue team came from Athens with drones and other sorts of equipment to extend the search and help find him quickly.
This morning, Radio 4 host Nick Robinson touched on the ongoing incident and told his listeners: "Many of you are waking up tremendously concerned about the welfare of our missing Radio 4 colleague Michael Mosely.

"He went missing while on holiday on the Greek Island of Symi. Dawn is a Symi resident who is a friend of the person Michael Mosley was staying with and she has actually just spoken to 5 Live about the journey he would have taken back from the beach."
Playing the clip of Dawn, she could be heard explaining: "It is probably a 20-minute walk down the side of the mountain but it is not overly rugged or something that would be seen to be too dangerous, it is something that tourists do every day.
"It is extremely worrying for everyone, it seems very strange. With all the amount of people that come, the millions of people that come I think... this has never happened before so obviously he will be found as soon as possible with the least damage to everybody."
Back in the studio, Robinson added: "Well, Michael Moseley is still missing, our correspondent Joe Inwood is on his way to the island of Symi right now.

"I think you're on a boat, I hope you have reception, Joe if you can hear us tell us the latest," he added but Inwood couldn't be heard through the disrupted phone line and left Robinson to reveal that would re-establish a line later on.
Senior Police Spokesman Constantina Dimoglidou said regarding Mosley's disappearance, according to the Daily Mail: "He was at the beach of Ag. Nikolas with another couple when he decided to go back to his home in the area of Pedi of Symi.
"It was around 1:30pm and he forgot his phone at the beach. Any and every attempt to track him down has not produced any result.
"We have now asked the fire brigade to assist in the operation in the case that he may have slipped, tripped, fallen, even bitten by a snake, remaining injured somewhere.
