Former Tory MP Michael Fabricant revealed his polyamorous lifestyle for the first time on Celebrity Big Brother last night, making the revelation to fellow housemate and Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard.
Fabricant, who is bisexual, told viewers he has maintained a relationship with his partner for 35 years whilst also having several "deep friendships" with others, sparking a significant reaction from viewers of the popular reality show.
Fabricant's long-term partner is Andy Street, the former Mayor of the West Midlands - with the pair first meeting over three decades ago at an Oxford University reunion.
In 2021, Fabricant told GB News that he and Street are "life partners". However, despite their 35-year relationship, Fabricant hinted at a non-traditional arrangement between them.
He described their bond as committed whilst maintaining independence, telling housemates they remain "very close" but lead "separate lives".
During his conversation on the show, Fabricant elaborated on his relationship arrangement, revealing he has several "deep friendships" with people he goes on solo holidays with.

One viewer humorously noted: "Just had to explain to my very traditional, vanilla Dad in layman's terms what Michael was talking about regarding his 'friendships' and honestly I think I've taken about five years off his life."
Despite the audience's shock, Fabricant has previously been open about aspects of his relationship with Street and previously described their connection as one where they are "life partners" whilst maintaining individual autonomy.
Fabricant's entrance into the Celebrity Big Brother house was met with what some described as the "loudest arrival boos ever" during Monday's live episode.
The audience's reaction was particularly hostile when he mentioned his blonde locks and gave a shout-out to fellow Conservatives on live television.
Speaking to hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best before entering the house, Fabricant revealed his motivations for joining Celebrity Big Brother.
"Meeting interesting people and having good conversations. Having some fun and to find out what it's like being trapped with people I don't know!" he explained.

When asked how he would get on with other celebrities, Fabricant replied: "It's difficult to say. If they're bright, amusing, interesting it'll be great."
He also admitted: "I'm a light sleeper so if they have some funny nighttime habits, that could be a problem. So no snorers, please."
