Following the death of Friends star Matthew Perry on Saturday, October 28, comedian Kevin Brennan took to X, formerly Twitter, with a series of tasteless posts.
Perry died aged 54 after being found unresponsive at his home in LA, with "accidental drowning" reportedly behind the star's death.
Sharing an article announcing the news of Perry's death and the circumstances that surrounded it, Brennan wrote on X: "DROWNED IN A HOT TUB. HAHAHAHA."
Brennan doubled down on his stance and continued to mock the much-loved actor, who's sparked floods of tributes from co-stars and fans alike across the globe.
When the comedian was called out for his mocking of Perry's death by a disgusted X user, Brennan referenced Perry's history with addiction and alcoholism.
"I didn’t mock it," Brennan said about his first post. "I just thought it was funny. But I do love it when junkies die."

The twisted posts kept on coming when a fan asked Brennan in regards to his first post: "Why is drowning in a hot tub funny?"
"Because it’s not very deep," came Brennan's response, and appearing to revel in the outrage, he later posted: "Am I trending yet?"
It didn't take long for X users to condemn Brennan's posts about Perry's demise, with the comedian branded "sick", "sad" and "desperate".
One furious social media user wrote: "You are SICK, insensitive, insecure, and mostly NOT FUNNY! I hope you never work again. People like you with sick thoughts need serious therapy!"
A second fumed at the comic: "Are you that desperate to try and stay relevant? Until the TMZ article no one knew who you were. Millions knew & loved w/o hesitation Matthew.
"His past didn’t change that, and it made him stronger. He passed away with more class, & dignity than you could ever hope to have."
Another weighed in: "Imagine being a 63 year old 'comedian' (used loosley) and the only way you can get a laugh is by mocking someone's death."
"He recovered. Hopefully, you can recover too," a fourth raged while a fifth typed: "Your career that bad that you have to punch down on the recently deceased? How sad." (sic)
