Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves have shared a rare insight into their family life now they've moved to Texas.
The Hollywood actor, whose CV boasts roles in Wolf of Wall Street, Interstellar and Dallas Buyers Club, is one of the world's best-known actors but now lives a more humble life in the southern US state.
The husband and wife duo decided to ditch California with their three children Levi, 15, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11.
The initial decision to do so came following a family crisis involving McConaughey's mother and siblings but now it seems the family unit couldn't be happier to have fled LA.
Speaking in a new joint interview, both McConaughey and Alves have lauded the fact they can enjoy the simpler things in life and have some semblance of "ritual" that the fast-paced environment of Malibu, California starved them of.
"In Texas, we were going to the church that we like to attend every Sunday. Sports became a stronger tradition for the kids," Alves began to Southern Living before McConaughey had his say.

"Ritual!" he interjected. "Ritual came back, whether that was Sunday church, sports, dinner together as a family every night, or staying up after that telling stories in the kitchen, sitting at the island pouring drinks and nibbling while retelling them all in different ways than we told them before."
The actor 54-year went on to say "time slowed down" after they packed up for the Lone Star State in 2014.
"The clock was right, the body clock. And part of that is ritual; part of that is just the distance between places and the way people move," he said to the publication.
Dishing a thinly veiled dig at Californian living, he went on to celebrate Texas for "the hospitality, the courtesy, the common sense (and) the lack of drama".

The husband and wife duo join a growing list of A-listers who've decided to ditch the plasticity of Hollywood in recent years.
The likes of Oscar nominee Cillian Murphy, Danny McBride and Chris Hemsworth are just three big names who live quieter lives away from Hollywood.
While McConaughey and Alves may have escaped from the bright lights and the paparazzi of California, their work diaries remain packed full of exciting projects.
Together, the duo have launched their very own tequila brand, Pantalones.

Alves took to X, formerly Twitter, to promote the drink in late 2023 as she penned: "Quite possibly the best thing @McConaughey and I have made with our pants on. @pantalonesXL."
According to IMDb, McConaughey also has a handful of on-screen roles in the pipeline.
He'll star opposite Barbie star America Ferrera in Paul Greengrass' film The Lost Bus as well as taking on the lead role in The Rivals of Amziah King.
McConaughey is also reportedly being lined up to replace Kevin Costner in the hugely successful Yellowstone franchise.
