Dame Mary Berry, 90, became emotional as she was wished a sweet birthday message by the Prince of Wales.
The chef, baker and broadcaster was attending a special edition of The One Show to celebrate her 90th birthday.
Presenters Alex Jones and Roman Kemp guided viewers through a celebration of Dame Mary's illustrious life and career.
Kemp praised her lasting culinary impact, stating: "She's been the queen of home cooking for decades, from editing housewife magazine in the 60s to becoming a household name around the world as the star of the Great British Bake Off."
The birthday special featured surprise appearances and heartfelt video messages from admirers – including the future king.

Prince William paid a touching tribute to Dame Mary in a pre-recorded video message, calling her a "true national treasure".
The Prince of Wales joked: "I dread to think who's cooking your cake and the criticism they might get, but good luck and I hope it goes really well."
Berry was stunned as the message began and became emotional as William spoke, holding back tears.
"What an honour,” she breathed, her hand on her chest in shock.

Speaking about their baking abilities, Dame Mary recalled their competitive nature during a meringue roulade challenge.
"They were glancing at each other, and (talking about) who was doing what and how they were doing it," she revealed.

Perhaps most touching was a message from Berry's husband of nearly 60 years, Paul Hunnings, who said: "Happy birthday love, you've done very well. I look forward to many more happy years together. God bless."
