Lily Allen has once again found herself at the tail end of Azealia Banks’ sharp tongue after the latter slammed the Smile singer for her comments on Beyonce’s new album.
Allen recently claimed that the former Destiney’s Child star’s latest album Cowboy Carter – which has reimagined songs from Dolly Parton and Paul McCartney – was “weird”.
Recently speaking on her Miss Me? podcast, she jibed: “It’s very weird, that you’d cover the most successful songs in that genre.
“It’s quite interesting to do, when you’re trying to, like, tackle a genre and you just choose the biggest song in that genre to cover.
“I mean, you do you, Beyoncé, and she literally is doing her. Or is she doing Dolly?”
Banks hit back at Allen’s comments and posted on her Instagram story: “OK @lilyallen you’re going to stop right there and sit this one out.”

In a separate post, Banks claimed she'd been on the receiving end of an apology for Allen after she'd supposedly made "racist" remarks to the 212 singer.
Banks claimed: “@lilyallen shall we discuss that phone call to me – a few years ago – obviously off your face – crying, sobbing and snotting asking me to forgive you for randomly being racist…
“And I quote ‘Well I just figured since I’m a white girl and you’re just some black girl that I could s**t on your…’.
“AB: ‘Well, ummmm thanks? Yeah I was confused because all of your music has reggae/hiphop/soul/r&b influences and you wear door knockers… I used to dress like you in high school, I really do like your music’.

“LA: *Ugly crying on her bathroom floor* *hear insufflation then a flick of a lighter* I’m just so sorry I can’t believe I’d do that…’ cried, begins to scream and then call cuts out.”
Banks herself noted that Beyonce’s album was “setting yourself up to be ridiculed again” and noted that Cowboy Carter was “white women cosplay”.
“I just wish you would get un-obsessed with being boring and pretty all the time,” she fumed before she went on to claim that the album was missing certain guests such as Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves.
Allen has not yet publicly responded to Banks’ recent comments. GB News has contacted Allen's representatives for a comment.

This isn’t the first time that the pair have feuded on social media, with the singers going at it on X – formerly known as Twitter – 11 years ago.
It originated in 2013 after Banks claimed Allen was “weak” and noted that her then-husband Sam Cooper looked like “a thumb”.
In response, Allen penned: “Not even gonna @ her but if she wants to talk about weak, I’m sure her record sales to date should suffice. One hit wonder.”
Things escalated when Banks called Allen’s two children “ugly” and leaving the Not Fair singer to brutally hit back.
She penned: “I’ve had 2 kids since 212 dropped and bet my album still comes out 1st. B***h is scared of the ball. OUT.” (sic)
