Liam Payne’s life is set to be remembered during a lavish celebration service, with reports claiming that his funeral will take place at the end of the week, nearly a month after his tragic death in Argentina.
The One Direction star tragically died on October 16 after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires.
The singer had been in Argentina with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy for a holiday and attended former bandmate Niall Horan’s tour.
Cassidy left Payne in the South American country just days before his death.
The Public Prosecutor's Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death, which is being treated as "an inconclusive death".
An initial post-mortem examination found he died instantly due to multiple traumas and "internal and external haemorrhage".

Whilst some reports remain unconfirmed, it has been reported that a cocktail of drugs including designer narcotic pink cocainecontaining MDMA, ketamine, and methamphetamine had been found in his system during a partial autopsy along with crack cocaine and benzodiazepine.
Payne's body was released to his grieving family over the weekend and was repatriated to England on Monday, November 4, with his father Geoff, having flown to Argentina to assist with the process.
It had been reported that Payne's father had been told in a meeting with prosecution chief Andres Madrea that he could return to the UK with his son’s body two weeks after flying to the South American country following the 31-year-old's three-story hotel fall.
Now, sources close to the family have claimed there are ongoing plans for a "lavish service of remembrance" at a large cathedral, though the exact location remains undisclosed, but expected to be in Wolverhampton.

The event is anticipated to be a "huge affair" with numerous A-list celebrities in attendance, reflecting Payne's popularity within the showbiz community.
"Liam will have a very big send-off, quite probably at a large cathedral somewhere close to his heart," an insider told MailOnline.
The service is set to feature musical tributes from prominent artists, honouring Payne's lifelong passion for music: "There are going to be a series of song tributes from some very big acts as he loved singing and making music until the end.”
Despite the grand scale of the event, Payne's family aims to maintain a respectful tone, with the source adding: “His family wants to keep his farewell low-key and respectful, as it's what Liam would have wanted as he was so down to earth.”
