Former Celebrity Big Brother star Jess Impiazzi has given her thoughts on Gary Goldsmith taking part in the ITV series – admitting she didn’t think it wasn’t the worst idea in the world.
Impiazzi starred in the 2018 series and came fourth, being the only housemate to have never been put up for eviction or receive a single nomination.
She starred alongside Anne Widdecombe, Shane Lynch and Shane Jenek who won the series, looking back fondly on her time in the show.
Before entering the house, Goldsmith’s niece Princess Kate went into hospital for “planned abdominal surgery” and has been staying out of the public eye since.
Many have questioned whether Goldsmith’s arrival into the house was warranted given Princess Kate has been recovering from her surgery.
Impiazzi seemed to defend his choice of going in and told GB News on behalf of BetVictor Casino: “I think the thing is, that it is undoubtedly going to bring a lot of attention onto her at a time when she probably doesn’t need it.

“But at the same time, he has had an offer and he is obviously getting paid so it is one of them tough ones isn’t it.
“It is one of them conversations they must have had privately but yeah it is going to bring attention but at the same time he is a businessman.
“Does he need the money or is he doing it for other reasons? He has every right to go in if he has been asked but that depends on what it is going to cause privately and if that is going to cause issues and we are not going to know that.”
During an episode earlier in the week, Ekin-Su Culculoglu brazenly asked “Where’s Kate?” leaving Goldsmith to note that he would only discuss it when she does.

Touching on the moment, Impiazzi praised: “That raised the bar for him a bit I think, people definitely thought is he going to go in and [tell all] but that definitely gave him more respect.”
The former glamour model also touched on Louis Walsh’s attitude and whether his blunt approach with people could get him cancelled.
Defending the former X Factor judge, she explained: “I just think people have always enjoyed watching Louis, especially on the X Factor when it was the panel.
“The old school version when they were in the room and I think that is his character. Either love him or hate him but he is the older generation and I think we get so caught up in ‘How disgraceful this older person is doing that’.

“But as we go through generations things change and they don’t catch up as quickly to the 19/20 year olds. We as a society need to be a bit more lenient on that, times change and what you have grown up with is going to be your perspective.
“It is great to have open conversations and get other perspectives but I love Louis, I think he is brilliant and even the bed thing, it was a bed, give him the bed he is the older generation. It’s not that deep.”
