Jonnie Irwin regularly keeps his social media following up to date with the latest projects he's taking on at his family's house.
The 49-year-old was diagnosed with terminal cancer in November and has been making the most of the time spent at home with his family.
Alongside his three sons - Rex, four, and twins Rafa and Cormac, both two - and wife Jess, Irwin has been keeping busy by renovating parts of their house.
His latest success story comes in the form of a previously "unused" part of his home.
Sharing a snap of the newly-decorated and stylish room, Irwin penned: "Phase 1 complete.
"Previously a cold virtually unused part of the house has been transformed whilst in keeping with the original 60’s character.
"The main difference has been to punch through the south facing wall and create an enormous view onto the garden via a bespoke @alunag_aluminiumsupplier window," Irwin continued.
Delving further into the details, Irwin admitted there was scepticism about the plans.
He conceded: "This idea rightfully had its doubters but I think the gamble has paid off. Replacement windows and sliding doors match the design and profiles which is key.
"The stove in the corner even makes this large room cosey in the cold weather so thanks to @northumberlandstoves for your advice on this."
Expressing his delight with how everything turned out, he added: "I’m really happy with the end result and even think Don Draper would approve! #madmenstyle #renovation."
Inevitably it didn't take long for Irwin's followers to send their well wishes to the Channel 4 presenter.
One fan replied: "It’s lovely Jonnie! sending best wishes to you - can only imagine how tough things are right now - you will always be the BEST homes presenter ever!!!"
Meanwhile, a second added: "That is fabulous - always go with your gut feelings."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Another was keen to congratulate Irwin: "Absolutely stunning. A total triumph."
And a fourth was full of praise as they said: "The picture framing window, the radiator, and the flooring are just perfect!" (sic)
Irwin has candidly spoken publicly about his cancer diagnosis since opening up in November 2022.
He discovered a tumour in his lung had spread to his brain and has claimed some doctors "didn't expect" him to make it to 2023.
Irwin's resilience has shone through, however, as the presenter continues to keep fans abreast of what he has in the pipeline at home.
