The 49-year-old presenter is returning to screens this week to offer his expertise for house hunters
Jonnie Irwin is making a return to screens in all-new episodes of Escape to the Country on the BBC this week.
The 49-year-old had taken a step back from work duties since going public with his cancer diagnosis in November 2022.
Irwin was initially diagnosed with the illness back in 2020 but went public with the news in late 2022 after it had spread to his brain from his lung.
The presenter also used to regularly appear on Channel 4's A Place in the Sun and while it's been some time since he fronted new episodes, that's all set to change on Monday.
Irwin will be helping two members of the public find their ideal home in the countryside, using his extensive knowledge of the property landscape to assist them.
Clearly buzzing with excitement to be back on screens, Irwin broke the news on Instagram with some behind-the-scenes snaps from filming.

"Good news to start the week," Irwin began in the accompanying caption. "There’s a brand new episode of @escape_country airing tomorrow on @bbcone at 3 pm and it’s one of mine!
"I head down to Somerset and look at some fantastic rural properties in some beautiful locations.
"Plus I also get to visit a cider farm- perks of the job. Hope you enjoy! #countryside #somerset #cider #rural #property #countryside #bbciplayer #apples," he signed off.
Inevitably, Irwin's followers rushed to reply to the announcement, with many expressing their delight at the prospect of seeing him back on their screens.
It comes just hours after Irwin had delighted his fanbase by reuniting with one of his A Place in the Sun co-stars for a rare public outing.
Irwin accompanied Jasmine Harman at A Place in the Sun Live in Birmingham to speak to the crowds about finding their ideal property overseas.
Sharing a snap with Harman after the event, Irwin penned: "Reunited with this beaut for the day.
"Great show and so nice to meet all the viewers looking to make their dreams come true. Pop over today and see @laurahamiltontv with loads of seminars and great information. #property #overseas #aplaceinthesun #mates."
