Jonnie Irwin has provided an update to fans after being hospitalised over the weekend with jaundice.
The Escape to the Country star, who's been battling cancer since 2020, revealed he'd been kept in hospital for four days after experiencing "fever and acute stabbing pains in my right hand side".
He returned home to his family on Monday after he revealed doctors had informed him his "blood tests and scans today show my liver function is heading in the right direction".
And despite his recent dash to the hospital, Irwin isn't going to let him stop celebrating his 50th birthday in style later this week.
Irwin, his wife Jess, and their three young boys are heading to Southern Spain to soak in the sun and mark the milestone occasion.
However, while he has "cleared" the trip abroad with his oncologist, Irwin has revealed in a new clip recorded at the airport that medical professionals have warned him to be aware of nearby hospitals should he need attention while on holiday.

"Well, I woke up this morning feeling a bit better," Irwin began in the new video. "I'm still slightly jaundice but I'm about to jump on a flight to Southern Spain.
"I did clear it with my oncologist, he said, 'Well, there are hospital in Spain and in fairness, you don't play by the rules anyway'.
"But my thoughts are that's probably part of my success so far," the presenter coninued. "So fingers crossed my liver continues to get a bit better and me and my family, we wake up tomorrow morning to blue skies in Southern Spain.
"Bon voyage to us," Irwin signed off as he flipped the camera around to show his family waiting at the airport.

"Thankfully a mate needs somewhere to crash so there’s someone to keep an eye on everyone whilst I’m away as it’s a big week on site too," he added, referring to the mammoth renovations he's undertaking at his Newcastle home.
It didn't take long for fans to wish Irwin well on his travels, including some of his on-screen colleagues.
A Place in the Sun's Ben Hillman said to his co-star: "Good on you Jonnie boy, hope you have a fun filled sun filled time with the fam."
