Jon Bon Jovi shares emotional tribute as family suffer huge loss: 'Will be greatly missed'

Jon Bon Jovi confirmed the death of his mother, Carol Bongiovi, and penned a sweet tribute where he noted she "will be greatly missed", with the family now preparing for a private funeral service.
According to reports from People, Bongiovi died at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.
The Livin' On A Prayer singer released a heartfelt statement about his mother's death on behalf of their family.
He told the same publication: "Our mother was a force to be reckoned with, her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family. She will be greatly missed."
Bon Jovi also posted an emotional video on his X account and simply penned: "Momma. We carry you with us. Always."
Throughout her son's career, Bongiovi was a huge supporter and even founded his bands fan club, whilst leading a full life of her own.

The 83-year-old ran multiple businesses and served in the US Marine Corps in 1959, serving America until she "met her future husband, John Bongiovi Sr."
The couple later moved to Sayreville, New Jersey, where they raised their family and later relocated to Holmdel, New Jersey, where Carol lived until her death.
Fans of the singer were left moved by the statement and took to their social media to share their wishes with the family.
One X user commented: "@jonbonjovi my heart goes out to you and Matt, Dorothea and the rest of the Bongiovi Clan my deepest condolences but a big thank you to your mama in Heaven for bringing you to the world."

Another added: "Really sorry for your loss. Thinking of you & your family. Loss is the hardest thing we go through in life."
"So sorry for your loss, my prayers and condolences to you all," someone else expressed before another penned: "Sorry for your loss."
A fifth added: "RIP #CarolBongiovi Thoughts and Prayers to your family @jonbonjovi." (sic)
Bon Jovi recently joined his son Jake and his now-wife Millie Bobby Brown at their wedding and discussed the family-oriented day on The One Show recently.

He confirmed the couple had married in a "very small, family wedding" and added of the couple: "They are great, they are absolutely fantastic. It was a very small, family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be. It's true."
Sources told The Sun it was a "very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows" and added that the couple are "planning a bigger ceremony in the US" for later this year.
