John Torode rips apart BBC Celebrity MasterChef star for 'abomination' dish: 'Look at that!'
BBC
This week's MasterChef episodes began on Tuesday, with a new host of famous faces feeling the pressure as they try to please judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode.
Neither of the judges are known for mincing their words on the BBC favourite, and the latest instalment saw Torode, 59, labelling one celebrity hopeful's cooking "an abomination".

The awkward incident came during the stars' second task of the episode which Wallace, 59, described as an "opportunity to really shine".
"What we want from you is two courses - a main course and a dessert that you would serve to your friends and family at a dinner party," Torode added.
He continued: "Something to truly impress, something to show off a little bit. At the end of this, we will only take four of you through to the next round - that does mean that one of you will be going home."
Unfortunately for former EastEnders star Danielle Harold, one part of her dish left the judges disgusted. The actress, 32, opted to cook pan-fried lamb cutlets with dauphinoise potatoes, honey-roasted carrots and a parsnip puree.
As he cut easily into the lamb, Torode commented "nice," kicking off Harold's feedback with a positive start.
Offering more commentary, he continued: "Your lamb is cooked beautifully, got a lovely crispness on the outside, nice and pink through the centre - that's great."

He went on: "Your dauphinoise is fantastic: lovely and creamy, crispy across the top, nicely seasoned. The parsnip puree is smooth, there's no real lumps in there, it's quite sweet."
Unfortunately, Torode wasn't done with his feedback and he bluntly added: "Your carrots are an abomination," as he pointed towards the burnt vegetables.
"I mean, look at that," he added. "There's one way of getting colour on your carrots - that's to burn them."
Wallace summarised his thoughts also, explaining: "The carrots aren't great, but your dauphinoise, your puree and your lamb, the meat there is very, very good."
For her dessert, Harold had made an apple crumble served with vanilla custard, and this time it was Wallace's turn to offer criticism.

Torode remarked: "You've got sharp-flavoured apple there with a nice little bit of spice - a good amount of sugar and then across the top of that, the biscuity, crumbly base is nice and solid, almost the texture of a shortbread."
Wallace started by commenting: "Your custard isn't thick enough, but it works with this dish."
He went on: "That combination of the sweet, creamy milk and the sharp apple is really, really working - and it's working almost by accident! I could eat all of that really happily."
Speaking to the cameras, Harold explained: "I'm really happy. If they say it as well, I'm going to take that home now and be like, 'guys, this is a MasterChef dish by the way, that was loved by two top chefs, I'm just saying.' So yeah, happy with that, very happy with that."
