The Gavin and Stacey star is featuring alongside Evans in a new show

Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page seems to have sent a clear message by omitting her All At Sea co-star Wynne Evans from a post while promoting the show.

Strictly Come Dancing star Evans has become embroiled in a huge scandal after it emerged he had made an inappropriate sexual remark during the freshly-launched Strictly tour.

In light of the comment, he has stepped away from the dance tour as well as his BBC Radio Wales show.

Page, 47, took to Instagram on Tuesday to promote her show, in which she stars alongside the 53-year-old opera singer, famed for his appearance in the Go Compare adverts.

Despite sharing a total of 15 images in the post behind-the-scenes moments from the BBC programme, only one featured Evans in the background and the actress barely mentioned her co-star.

Alongside the snaps, she wrote: "Check out my new show Wynne and Joanna-All At Sea Tonight @bbcone 8:30pm!!"

The caption continued: "What an amazing crew who worked so incredibly hard! Big cheers to you all xx."

It comes as other stars affiliated with Evans have issued statements in defence of the singer, such as his Strictly partner, Katya Jones.

Page presents All At Sea alongside her fellow Welsh co-star, but seems to be distancing herself from him.

Adding insult to injury, Page tagged each of her other co-stars in the caption but left out the opera star.

The actress was met with a wave of support in the comments section as people congratulated her on the new show.

As Evans re-shared a different BBC post about the show to his own page, the response he received was markedly different, with some followers referencing the recent headlines.

One wrote: "And how long until you're rude or inappropriate about her?" MailOnline reports.

Another added: "Any spit roast jokes with this lady mate?" with one more writing: "WTF is wrong with you? How can you possibly think that comments like that are acceptable?"

Another shared: "So disappointed. I won't be watching this show now. Was looking forward to it too." (sic)

On Tuesday, Evans announced he'd be leaving the Strictly tour, explaining he'd agreed to "take some time out" in order to "prioritise my wellbeing".

Dancer Jones broke her silence shortly after, urging people to "show humanity" in the situation.

The Strictly professional wrote on her Instagram Stories: "Let's show humanity and consideration. I will miss you my darling boy."

Evans has issued an apology since the incident was reported, telling The Mail on Sunday: "My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise."
