"Multiple women" are alleged to have come forward with complaints regarding Jermaine Jenas, who was confirmed to have been axed from the BBC yesterday.
It was announced on Thursday that the sports presenter and The One Show host had been removed from broadcasting duties following accusations of inappropriate behaviour.
It has been claimed the broadcaster launched an internal investigation following concerns about the Match of the Day host.
Jenas had been working as a sports pundit for the company and also joined The One Show in 2020. A BBC spokesperson confirmed the presenter's removal, commenting: "We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting lineup."
The former Premier League star has firmly denied any wrongdoing, stating there "two sides to every story," with the Jenas also saying his lawyers were working on his behalf as he battles to clear his name.
It's now been reported that more than one woman has come forward to complain about the 41-year-old.

A source stated: "The first complaint was raised after Jermaine flirtily messaged a female member of staff on The One Show, and she raised her misgivings in a formal capacity."
Speaking to The Sun, they continued: "The BBC knows it cannot now ignore concerns or complaints so after immediate routine enquiries the decision was taken to take him off air, and terminate his contract. They acted swiftly and decisively."
The publication states the source added that "Jermaine’s conduct is absolutely nothing" like former BBC News presenter Huw Edwards and that there is "no suggestion of illegality."
Jenas also won't be appearing on TNT Sports this month following his sacking, reports say.

It's been alleged the sports pundit sent an unsolicited text message to a female member of staff, however no official details have been released regarding his axe.
Another source told The Sun: "The BBC knows it cannot now ignore concerns or complaints so after immediate routine enquiries the decision was taken to take him off air, and terminate his contract. They acted swiftly and decisively."
BBC viewers tuning into Thursday's The One Show were hoping his former colleagues would shed some light on the allegations or address Jenas' axe.
When Alex Jones and Clara Amfo failed to mention the controversy currently making headlines, many complained on social media.

BBC colleagues have been informed of Jenas' axing and have reportedly been left stunned by his sudden departure.
A source told the Mail: "It all came as a massive shock but his colleagues have now been told the news and he won't be back.
"His colleagues are stunned, they didn't see it coming at all. They were kept in the dark to start with. They couldn't believe it when they found out."
Another source informed the Sun that Jenas' exit is a "categorical nightmare" for the BBC.
