Jeremy Clarkson, 64, has been inundated with well wishes after revealing a rather gruesome injury to one of his pet dogs.
His pooches, Arya and Sansa, often accompany the former Top Gear star on his Oxfordshire farm and feature heavily in the third season of his Amazon series, Clarkson's Farm.
While they may have become favourites with viewers for their disobediences towards Clarkson on-screen, away from the camera they've been involved in their fair share of mishaps.
Just two months ago, Clarkson fans defended The Grand Tour star after one of his dogs contracted pyometra.
Some critics slammed the 64-year-old as the infection often affects unspayed dogs.
And back in March, Clarkson thanked the veterinarians at his local surgery for safely removing a thorn that ended up in Sansa's eye.

This time around, Clarkson revealed there was another incident that resulted in one of his dogs hurting themselves.
In a photo shared to Instagram, Clarkson caught a snap of one of his pooches soaking wet but with blood-stained fur on her head.
Just in the shot is someone holding a blood-soaked piece of tissue after seemingly tending to the dog's wounds.
Clarkson stopped short of revealing exactly what happened to his pet, instead opting to type in the accompanying caption: "The dog is leaking."
Inevitably, it didn't take long for fans to express their concern after seeing the bloodied pooch receive treatment.
"Hope she’s okay, but can you please tell us what happened?" one fan desperately asked.
"Nooooooo! I hope she’s okay!" a second added followed by a love heart emoji before a third weighed in: "Oh no! What happened??"
Elsewhere, a fourth commented: "On a serious note, if it's coming out of pores for no apparent reason, a friend's dog has the same problem. It's been a real worry, I would be very interested if it has been diagnosed."
Another said: "I hope whoever she is either Sansa or Arya the dog is doing fine."
And The Grand Tour producer and long-time Clarkson collaborator Andy Wilman was also among the comments: "Oh no. Not again."

Clarkson stopped short of revealing details of his dog's injury but did return to the social media platform soon after with a rather breathtaking shot of the views from Diddly Squat.
"Bl**dy hell," Clarkson wrote alongside an image of the orange and amber skies above his Cotswolds farm.
Elsewhere this month, Clarkson and partner Lisa Hogan were applauded for a gesture they shared to upset Farmer's Dog punters.
After stormy weather sparked farm shop closures at the pub, Clarkson and Hogan went above and beyond to make sure customers were safe.
