The Clarkson's Farm star wasted no time sharing his thoughts on the performance
Jeremy Clarkson has been branded "rude" and "disrespectful" by a handful of his social media followers for his latest post on Instagram.
In it, Clarkson was reacting to Sunday evening's result from the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England.
Gareth Southgate's men sadly lost out in the final thanks to a late goal from the Spaniards to prolong England's wait for a major trophy.
Despite a goal from Cole Palmer, who plays for Clarkson's beloved Chelsea in club football, England couldn't bring it home within 90 minutes.
Tears were aplenty among players and fans after the game but Clarkson decided to react in a much rather savage fashion.
On Instagram, Clarkson shared a photo of a bin and inside it were several England and Union Jack flags.

The Grand Tour star didn't write anything in the accompanying caption but the symbolism of suggesting England were "rubbish" in the post alone was enough to spark uproar.
Taking to the comments of the Instagram post, one person fumed: "No one should treat their country flags like this. If you are sad at a loss, its human to be sad. But never disgrace your homeland."
"That’s so disrespectful," added a second before a third pleaded: "Don’t be rude like that."
Meanwhile, a fourth tipped: "He is probably drunk right now, he will wake up in the morning and regret this."
And another had sympathy for Southgate's men: "Honestly. Finishing second in a euro championship is pretty amazing."
However, many appeared to echo the sentiment expressed by Clarkson by sharing the damning image of England flags in a bin.
"Feel the exact same," one fan raged. "We are s**t, fed up of people saying we’ve had a good tournament."
And a second echoed: "This ‘well done lads you got to back to back finals’ s**t is the exact reason we’ll never win anything." (sic)
The crushing defeat for England makes it two Euros finals in a row in which Southgate's men have fallen at the final hurdle.
Question marks have been raised throughout the tournament about Southgate's future as manager due to his contract nearing its expiration and frustrations over the style of play.

But when asked about his future following Spain's victory, he told the BBC: "Now is not the time for me to speak about that.
"I need to talk to the right people and give myself a bit of time.
"To get to another final... it was a privilege to have the opportunity. But to come up short is hard at the moment."
He added to ITV: "England are in a really good position in terms of the experience they have. Most of this squad will be around for the next World Cup and maybe the next Euros."
