Jedward have hit back at Celebrity Big Brother contestant Louis Walsh after he claimed working with them was “vile”.
During a recent episode of the ITV reality show, Coronation Street star Colson Smith was intrigued to find out about some of Walsh’s past acts.
“What were Jedward like?” he asked the X Factor judge, leaving Walsh to simply state: “They were vile”
Confused by the answer, Smith noted: “They’ve done well,” before Walsh interjected and flexed: “I got £5million for them. I swear on my mother’s life.”
“B****y hell, I wish I had a Jedward,” Smith joked before Walsh added: “And they were vile. But they were a novelty. It was great for the show. It was all about the show.”
Whilst the episode aired, Jedward – their real names John and Edward Grimes – were watching the show at pal Gemma Collins’s house and had a few words to say about Walsh.

They first took to their Twitter account where they issued a variety of scathing tweets about their former mentor.
“Without our mom, we wouldn’t be here today! What an absolute weirdo with bad intentions for all… does he like anyone?
“Louis reopened these wounds all by himself being spiteful and disrespectful, we aren’t going to have our character taken. Justice will be served," the pop duo said.
The rant didn’t end there, as Collins posted multiple videos on her Instagram story where she showed the brothers furious with the comment.
Filming the TV at the moment Walsh made his comment, she exclaimed: “Louis, don’t be slagging off my boys! They’re not vile, they’re beautiful in every single way.”
One of the brothers interjected and fumed: “You’re like a cat with nine lives, how many times can you slag off your acts? Us, Girls Aloud, Boyzone, Westlife, Ronan Keating, it is absolutely a disgrace.
“You’re a senile man for us, you have no idea. You’re not even a manager, Simon Cowell made you who you are. How dare you be on Big Brother? Talk about throwing people out, you didn’t do anything for us.”
The second brother added: “Louis was never our manager, he disrespected our mum multiple times, how dare you try and define us when you are all those things.”

Showing her support for her friends, Collins posted another video and said: “We are absolutely mouths open.
“For Louis to say that it is not true, the boys are lovely, I do know how he treated them and it is a liberty he said that, he is one in a million.”
Further showing her support, she posted an image of the trio on her main feed and captioned: “Shocked to see what was said about my boys. They are the sweetest, talented, polite, educated, kind boys I've ever met hence why they are always in my company!! TEAM JEDWARD. #Jedward.” (sic)
This wasn’t the first time that Walsh’s acid-tongue has landed him in the firing line, as he previously touched on his and Sharon Osbourne’s relationship with Simon Cowell, branded Andrew Lloyd Webber a “freak” and claimed Ronan Keating’s career stopped because he was no longer his manager.
