The JLS star made history last weekend by scoring the first perfect Samba in seven years
Strictly Come Dancing star JB Gill revealed the sweet message she gave to him ahead of tomorrow night’s competition final.
Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Sarah Hadland and Chris McCausland will all dance three times tomorrow night in a bid to win the Glitterball Trophy.
Gill and his partner Lauren Oakley chose to perform their Samba to Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes, whilst the judges chose for them to once again perform their Viennese Waltz to Let’s Go Fly a Kite from Mary Poppins.
On top of the two dances, they will also be performing the Showdance to a Motown medley.
For each contestant, tomorrow night will be the culmination of the last three months and how much hard work they have put into their dances each week.
Discussing how it feels to be in the final of the popular BBC dancing competition and whether it was a career highlight, Gill expressed: “Yeah absolutely!
“Being in the final has to be a career highlight. I don’t get to do too many competitions like this, so being in the final is an incredible achievement.
“My goal has always been to get through each week but I’ve always said if you can get to the final, it’s anyone’s to win.”
Revealing the wise words his mum gave, he said: “My mum’s saying is 'someone has to win, so why can’t it be you?' It’s all to play for. You have to give 120 per cent”
Oakley added: “Yes it is one of my career highlights and it means everything to me to be in the final because I’ve managed to get JB there and that’s the most important thing.
“I want him to be proud of himself and I want his family and his kids to be proud of him.
“I know it means the world to him and therefore it means the world to me.”
Whilst the pair remain optimistic and hopeful at lifting the Glitterball trophy, it seems Gill has already faced a crushing blow ahead of the final.
According to bookmakers BetMGM, Chris McCausland is the strong favourite to win this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The comedian heads the betting at 1/18, with the other three finalists much bigger prices – JB Gill is 10/1, Sarah Hadland 20/1 and Tasha Ghouri the outsider at 25/1.
UK Director at BetMGM, Sam Behar, said: “The betting suggests it would be a huge shock if Chris McCausland didn’t take home the Glitterball Trophy.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
“He might not have scored the highest with the judges in the semi-finals but that hasn’t perturbed punters as the comedian is just 1/18 to emerge victorious.
“JB Gill is 10/1, Sarah Hadland 20/1 and Tasha Ghouri 25/1 – but the betting does suggest it’s a one-horse race.”
