The Coronation Street star has waded into the appeal efforts after revealing familial ties
Actress Vicky Entwistle has shared the reassurance she's received from her brother in Barcelona as the search for missing teen Jay Slater continues.
The 19-year-old was last heard from on the island of Tenerife on Monday morning after visiting a music festival the night before where he left early with two men and travelled 40 minutes by car away from the area.
He called a friend at around 9am on Monday morning saying he had one percent battery on his phone and was lost trying to find his way home by foot - a journey that would've taken 10 hours.
The Guardia Civil, the island's police force, has been searching several parts of the island since his disappearance, including the Los Cristianos area in the south and Rural de Teno in the northwest.
Police, mountain rescue teams, firefighters and volunteers have all taken part in the operation while Slater's mother and friends who have also flown out to assist.
Coronation Street star Entwistle - best known for playing Janice Battersby on the soap - added to the appeals earlier this week when she revealed Slater is the grandson of her godmother.

As the search enters its fifth day, Entwistle has returned to social media to reveal her brother, who is currently in Barcelona, has shared insight into what things are like on the ground in mainland Spain.
Taking some comfort from her brother's update, Entwistle informed her X followers: "Although Jay has still not been found I am confident that the Spanish authorities are doing their upmost to find him.
"My Brother lives in Barcelona and assures me that the news coverage is prevalent on the Spanish mainland," she revealed alongside a prayer emoji.
It comes just days after Entwistle admitted she still had "hope" Slater would be found due to the efforts in Tenerife.

"My God Mother’s Grandson has gone missing," Entwistle began on Wednesday. "His Mother has flown out 7pm to join the police search. Hope to God they find him. Please [pray] for him."
In response to one fan who sent their well wishes, Entwistle admitted: "Thank You. It seems everyone is looking so that gives us all some hope that he will be found."
Footage has since emerged showing Slater partying in a nightclub just hours before he went missing.
The 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire called his pal Lucy Law on the morning of his disappearance.
Law has spoken publicly about the final call, admitting Slater was concerned about his whereabouts and had "cut his leg on a cactus".
She told Sky News Slater had gone to stay with people he met on Sunday night who were staying in an apartment that was "miles away from civilisation and in a very secluded location".
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Law revealed Slater had left the apartment at 8am on Monday and walked for half an hour before "frantically ringing" her.
Local journalist Chris Elkington from Canarian Weekly spoke to GB News on Friday to share his verdict on the conditions on the island.
Elkington voiced concerns about the weather amid the search, telling Stephen Dixon and Ellie Costello: "In that area, it is a bit cooler than it is in the south. In the daytime, we’re currently in the mid to high 20s. In the park, it drops to around 16 degrees.
"At night time, it can get very chilly. Particularly if you are out there in shorts and a T-shirt. It’s not ideal conditions at all, it can be harsh in the daytime and very cold at night."
