Jamie Lynn Spears baffles I'm A Celeb fans as they spot odd reaction to Britney probe: 'Be honest!'

However, a number of ITV viewers know Spears best as the sibling to Toxic singer and global superstar Britney.

The Spears sisters' relationship is a fraught one, however, with Britney publicly slamming her sister's behaviour during her time in a conservatorship and even branding the I'm A Celeb star a "total b***h" in her memoir The Woman In Me.

Britney even appeared to share a cryptic dig at her sister once she was unveiled as an I'm A Celeb campmate.

Making her jungle debut, the singer and actress arrived in the camp alongside the likes of Nick Pickard and Marvin Humes after the trio skydived within moments of meeting one another.

They were then tasked with earning stars in The Temple of Doom trial which saw Spears covered head to toe in green ants before they emerged successful with a full house of meals for camp.

But it was her reaction to campmate Josie Gibson that got fans talking after all of the celebs had gathered in the camp.

The This Morning host asked Spears as they settled into the camp: "Who got you into music then?"

"I’ve always kind of been into music, you know what I mean?" Spears replied before Gibson gave a nod to Britney as she probed further: "Very musical family, aren’t you?"

Spears simply said "yeah" to Gibson's question before the presenter continued her line of questioning: "Was your grandma into it?"

"My mum played the piano a lot," Spears remarked before she turned the conversation around to Gibson to ask about her career.

Gibson revealed she was a TV presenter before she did her best to explain to Spears the other jobs her campmates were famous for.

However, while Gibson stopped short of asking directly about Spears' famous sister, many viewers at home were bemused by the fact she seemed to purposefully avoid any mention of her sibling.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer mused: "Why doesn't Jamie Lynn be honest and say she's famous simply because she's Britney Spears's sister! It's like the elephant in the room! #ImACeleb."

Elsewhere, others found Spears' reaction amusing as a second shared: "Jamie lynn doing everything to avoid mentioning britney... on about her family plays piano #ImACeleb."

"LOOOOOL Jamie is really trying her hardest to avoid mentioning Britney #imaceleb," a third mentioned.

While a fourth added: "Josie asking Jamie Lynn 'who got you into music?' knowing damn well she doesn’t want to even mention Britney’s name #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity."

However, others were quick to jump to Spears' defence and claim she needn't mention her sister unless she wants to.

"Why would Jamie Lynn mention Britney?" another X user questioned. "If she did you would all say she's milking off her name still...she's trying to be her own person #ImACelebrity #ImACeleb."

And a second argued: "Loads of people saying Jamie Lynn is only famous for being Britney’s sister. girl ZOEY 101 was legit my childhood. Put some respect on her name pls #ImACeleb." (sic)
