Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx is said to be in recovery after he experienced a "medical complication" resulting in him being rushed to hospital.
In a statement released by his family, Foxx, known for films including Django Unchained, Collateral, and Ray, was treated with "great care" following the unspecified incident.
His daughter Corinne Foxx wrote on Instagram that the star had suffered a "medical complication" on Tuesday, causing worried family members to rush to his bedside.
She said the family are grateful for the support of fans and asked for privacy.

'"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery" she said.

No further details on the star's condition have been revealed so far, and it is currently unclear what complication Jamie is suffering from.
An overwhelming amount of support has flooded in for Jamie, who is well-known for his comedy work and on productions like the Amazing Spider-Man movies, Disney's Soul, Beat Shazam, and several other projects.
One fan wrote on Twitter: "Just had a heart attack opening Instagram seeing Jamie Foxx almost died we can’t lose him too wtf."
"I saw that Jamie Foxx post and almost fell to my knees in this kitchen," said another.

Foxx was in Atlanta shooting Back in Action, a Netflix comedy which marks Cameron Diaz’s return to a film role for the first time in almost a decade.
The film also stars Andrew Scott and Jamie Demetriou and is directed by Seth Gordon, with whom Foxx worked on Horrible Bosses.
He also won the best actor Oscar in 2005 for his portrayal of the pianist and singer Ray Charles in the biopic, Ray, and was nominated for best supporting actor the same year for his role in Tom Cruise drama Collateral.
Other key films include Django Unchained, Annie, Jarhead and the Spider-Man franchise.
